i don't remember the name of it, but it was like a block or two north of Washington and was actually on the 2nd floor of this old building - in a loft like space.....I wish I could remember the name. There was about a year in the mid-late 90's when it got a lot of shows.

Agh! I missed your birthday!! I hope you had a great one! It was cool to see you the other night and I hope to see you again soon!

wow, the things you miss when you're in bed at 7pm. I love Iowa - it's beautiful. I don't like cigars - though I do like the heavy air in Havana when it smells like cigars and the ocean.

I read this years ago and enjoyed it. I like being able to read both sides of a conversation in letters. Then, of course, Joyce Johnson was able to put a lot of into a larger context by adding some narration.

I have had my iPod for 2 years, it's a 20GB black and white screen......it froze up once, and I thought I was going to have to send it in. But it made a miraculous recovery and hasn't given me any jib since......knock on wood. I really do love it.

yay for living in a country where dogs have their own clothing lines and where six children burned to death over the weekend in their apartment from a fire started by candles (being used because their family couldn't afford electricity). Something is out of whack, doncha think??

I can speak no more about the expression - I have been asked kindly by my lovely spouse to refrain from further comment.

maybe paying laborers and workers a bigger piece of the pie and a fair wage? If it weren't for the laborers, the high execs wouldn't even have a job. But, that's a piss poor idea.....CEOs would have to give up that 3rd vacation home in Tuscany just so some hard working family wouldn't have to make the choice month to month between being able to pay the rent or the electric bill.

yeah, Graham is in a position to do just that working manual labor for a few bucks an hour.....

oh my - I loved the American Theatre back in the day....I saw Beck on the Odelay tour there and it was fantastic. I also saw Oasis during the Morning Glory tour there......it was a great venue. I loved it when it was open seating and you didn't even have to get there too early to get front fow balcony. I even saw Edie Brickell there way way back when......funny. I don't mind the Pageant and have seen a lot of good shows there. It would have been a great venue for the Flaming Lips. Though the best Flaming Lips show I saw was in this teeny hole in the wall off of Washington Ave downtown, m

well, I don't think the White Sox are going all the way - I even have doubts about making it to the playoffs. I think they can do it, though I am not banking on it. -
