What's the price of gas where you are?

We just bought a used 99 Civic, and reports showed it got better mileage than our old beater Accord. So far, we haven't been so pleased. I think it does slightly better, but isn't making a big difference. It's still a nice little car. -
I love this movie. I just re-bought it used on Amazon because I can't find my old copy. I think I lent it out.

Well, when I was practically living in Salford, they were the team I would walk to and watch after a couple hours at the pub. Do I qualify?

like that 99 Euro Cup final when Man U won against Bayern Munich - 2 goals in the last 2 minutes.....heart attack city. I wish I could have seen the match today.

the one on Kingshighway is the original - though we always went to the Hampton one. We used to just love across the park from there. Emily, her dad and I used to have a yearly tradition of the weekend before her school started we would do late night diner night and go to the Courtesy Diner at midnight and play cards and eat greasy food.

I see you visited Uncle Bill's Pancake House......near and dear to my heart. Mmmmm what I wouldn't give for some Uncle Bill's pancakes. Deffo a late night staple of STL eating - that, South City Diner and the Courtesy Diner.

I did like Across the Wire a wee bit more than By The Lake of Sleeping Children, though they are similar. The Devil's Highway was my favorite. It's hard for me to gush about that book though, because of the nature of it. It feels weird to talk so nonchalantly about something that is so tragic. It is certainly one of the better books I have ever read. I couldn't put it down.

Maudie - I loved that book. It is devastating and heartbreaking. I have read a few other non-fiction works of his. Love him.

oh ouch. I found it rather painful. Then again, both of these guys make me hurt - but the Archuleta kid will win. Ugh.

I heard a beautiful story on NPR about a female police officer who has been nursing babies that have been orphaned because of the earthquake in China.

I'd like to see both of these.

while I have no ethical issue with the consumption of meat and am fully aware that we are omnivores - I do have ethical issues with factory farming. While I would never hunt, I do respect those who do. At least the deer that are hunted for meat have been allowed to live a natural life. Prize hunting is another thing for me.....but that's neither here nor there. I certainly have no issue with others who eat meat. My daughter eats meat, though we don't really keep it around the house. I will let her make the decision as to what she wants to do. Like it was said before, it's a choice. I am not
