oh yes, I am actually hoping to see The Dark Knight in the theatre.....not usually the type of movie I like. I rarely see comic book movies - but, yes, from what I have seen of Heath Ledger in it - it looks awesome. And a little Christian Bale is always nice.

I am looking forward to Indiana Jones - though a not really expecting it to be any good.

I started this last night and couldn't put it down. It was as if someone was in my head. Very comforting during this time. It's nice to know all the crazy I feel isn't crazy, but normal - and they do a good job explaining why you react psychologically and what functions it has. For me, having that information makes me feel better. I highly recommend it. It's intriguing and approachable while remaining empathic and kind.

I could never do the baby bjorn - it made my back hurt - I found the sling to be a lot more comfortable. Everyone has their preference. Yeah, when Em was a baby there was none of this car seat/stroller combo business......so, it just looks confusing to me.

I think he's talking about he special elections where Republicans have left their house seats - all going to Dems in solidly red districts. It happened here when Hastert's seat was up for special election in Feb.

you mean when YOU get a new one, Jay can keep yours. I have a 30g with video - and I have watched MST3K (Master Ninja II) on it and This American Life episodes on it. I rarely use it for video (even on commutes) but it's nice on occasion when I am just too spent to knit and wanna be distracted for the train ride home. Mainly I just have mine on shuffle or listen to This American Life podcasts.

oh, I agree - I think there is a delicate balance of nature vs. nuture.....and I don't think we will ever truly know which has the more influence. I am fascinated with the study of human development - and it seems whenever we get to a point where we "have it all figured out" there are new factors being discovered that throw everything back up in the air.
