  4. the 70's does have my favorite dylan period. so it's got that going for it.
  5. i wish i had paid more attention to frank black when he went solo. i remember hearing los angeles on beavis & butthead & really like it. pistolero might be in my top 10 fave albums ever.
  6. haven't heard much about that. check out pistolero. such a great album. his last two are more country-fied but still great.
  7. i think frank's solo work is severely underrated. he's still releasing great music.
  8. in my mind, frank's the best i've ever heard. yay! i'm a frat boy & i didn't know it.
  9. frank is probably the best melodic songwriter i've ever heard (well, besides the beatles). i've been listening to nirvana since 92 & i just started listening to black/pixies like 4 years ago. same with the mats/westerberg. most of nirvana's music bores me now. hell, i listen to the foo fighters way more than nirvana.
  10. i like nirvana quite a bit but to say kurt writes better melodies than westerberg is a bit ridiculous. anyway, neither of htem hold a candle to frank black.
  11. wow when i think of nirvana, one of hte last things i think of is their melody. westerberg was great at that.
  12. definitely the pixies & from the little melvins i've heard some of them.
  13. weird al - straight outta lynwood
  14. open season soundtrack. this is damn good
  15. awesome, a 90210 reference followed by a party of five reference. that rules
  16. ray lamontagne - till the sun turns black giving this another chance
  17. thanks, now i will get nothing done. ever
  18. purple is a damn fine record. i need to dig that out.
