  1. Haha, that would be pretty fun, but the things I have in mind are a lot more, um, drum-nerdier.
  2. Fantastic! I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with White Castle

  4. After seeing so many Top __ Drummer lists, this was my favorite yet. It was at least different from every other one I've seen. To not have Ringo in the top 25 was refreshing, and while the top two were a little obvious, there were a lot of picks on this list that most lists don't even give honorable mentions too. It's always nice to see Glenn Mentioned in things like this, and he certainly is deserving of the praise. Alright, good talk.
  5. Nels and Glenn with Ellis Marsalis and Byron Stripling(the only trumpet player that I could think of, he used to play with Basie and directs/plays with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra) Nels and Pat with ?uestlove and Flea Nels and Mikael(or Jay and Nels or Jay and Mikael) with Jonsi Birgisson(guitar) and Orri P
  6. I completely agree with this. Especially since we're talking kids. All the bones in a child's body are still developing and if something causes them damage(i.e. exposure to loud environments), the long term can be devastating. I recommend inserting the earplugs prior to the opener so that your youngsters ears can "adjust" to how things sound with earplugs in. By the time the music starts, the plugs shouldn't make a big difference.
  7. I once ran into Julia Childs in an art gallery in Maine. She said that she liked the Space Ghost Coast to Coast t-shirt that I was wearing. And saw Dave Chappell skateboarding around Easton mall.
  8. Sushi! edit: when I got my sushi out of the fridge, I saw a steak..................................................................but I guess I'll save that for dinner.....
  9. I'd like to believe that the above "flirt" smiley is sincere, but really, I think it was just another way to pad your past count. Beacuse honestly, this could..................................... have been........................................ handled in............. a PMWhat does that have to do with White Castle?
  10. Why are you following me around the boards? And I'd like to note that earlier in this thread there was talk of Krystal, Rutts and Garbage plates, all of which had nothing to do with White Castle.
  11. Yeah, sort of. I went to see Interpol a couple weeks ago and next week, I"ll probably go see Modest Mouse. The Killers are coming and I've got tickets to both the Smashing Pumpkins and Arcade Fire in the fall. I tried to see Hot Hot Heat this past weekend, but it unexpectedly sold out the day of the show. Unexpectedly because it was the same night as the Irish fest, the State Fair, and Gallery Hop. Oh well. Oh and the reversible stage thing works out well. The inside of the venue is just as good as the outside.
  12. The return of Lotti! Oh and I heard that Gogo once saved a village of orphans from a wild heard of elephants with nothing but a blade of grass and a thumbtack.
  13. Nice. What show did you go see recently?
  14. I was talking with a friend recently about this whole shoegaze bit and he brought up something he had read about the subject and how the author mentioned the three "main" albums in the genre were the three primary colors... MBV-Loveless(Red) Ride-Nowhere(Blue) Catherine Wheel-Ferment(Yellow) So Catherine wheel is next on my dl list. They wrote one of my all-time favorites(Sparks are gonna fly) but I think that's the only song I've ever actually heard by them....
  15. I haven't had White Castle in 6 years and I am okay with that. They may be a Columbus tradition, but they're gross and a trip there once every decade or so is plenty for me. In regards to their installment at promowest(I refuse to call it the LC) that q23 has mentioned, I'd like to add that previously the restaurant inside the venue was damon's, and while it was a little pricey, it was so much better than WC. Also, if we're talking Columbus fast food traditions, Wendy's would have been a better choice. I've got a great WC story but I am hesitant to share it in mixed company....
  16. It really depends on the day for me, but probably anything off AGIB especially Hummingbird and ALTWYS. But then again Kamera and War on War on other days.... Which of their songs is about indecision?
  17. Happy Birthday!@#$! Hope you have an awesome Columbus birthday!@#$ They're the best.
  18. I'm listening to this for the first time now after a friend and I talked about it earlier today. It's pretty awesome.
  19. Weezer-Blue Stars-In our Bedroom After the War A Fine Frenzy-One Cell in the Sea Interpol-Our Love to Admire White Stripes-Icky Thump
  20. If it doesn't put you to sleep, then you're not listening to it right(and you are probably a highy messed up freak).
  21. Blah blah no you are X infinity+1
  22. That's exactly the type of response I was figuring/hoping for.
