The Heroes soundtrack comes out in a couple weeks with a still unheard SBS outtake on it. And you can hear about 15 seconds of it over at amazon.com. Its a higher tempo number, more blue eyed soul guessing from the bite sized serving of it. No one I could name exactly. More of a general trend that pops up from time to time. Its not always negativity towards the band, sometimes its other board members. I'm not trying to 'harsh any mellows' so to speak, quite the opposite. Most people on here are cool as hell, thats why its a bummer when things seem a little creepy.

So I thought I was the big detective and had the filming pegged for the residency shows, and fel like a real dummy for spreading rumors when no one at the residency saw any sign of cameras. I love this board. As much as it boarders on guilty pleasure to spend attention on a fan club everyday (which is pretty much what it is), it's great to read setlists, look at pictures and share information about a band that is obviously so important to a lot of people. I think I kind of hyped the DVD at the Riv rumor. Dead wrong. Brendan Canty of the Burn to Shine series said in an interview he was filming Wilco shows in early 08 and not saying what it would be for. The Riv seemed the obvious choice. Maybe it will be an Aussie DVD, or maybe the circumstances have changed since he said that at least six months ago. Sorry, for the let down. I've never been such a gossip.....

I believe they've formally announced the Aussie tour to be the last real outing for '08, save the typical festival appearances. This usually means three things in Wilcoworld: 1. Vacation 2. This happens once in a while: Some fan has a healthy curiosity concerning the wherabouts of the famous 'Loft', and fails to consider the personal privacy aspect. Then some veteran VCer either politely or holier than thouly tells them "That is not appropriate". So yeah......I'd love to see it too, but folks raise some reasonable concerns and the bat lair remains hidden. I think the upcoming release is a re-issue from some old stuff. It seems after doing sonic youth and wilco O'rourke decided he was burned out on being a musician. He is still making films in Tokyo I believe. I think in the interview Tweedy didn't want to speak too much for Jim, cause who knows what he's gonna want to do in the future. He could easily do nothing on the next record, or be multi-instrumentalist and mixer. I've been a rock musician for ten years, so I may be doomed. But earplugs are pretty good defense. The orange foam ones make most things sound like utter garbage, cause they cut way more high frequencies then low, so guitar and vocals sound really muffled and bass and kick drum really present. If you go to Walgreens they have these blue, soft rubber (I think) plugs that looks like a series of three ridges with a little pole at the end so you can pull them out/push them in. Not as good as the customized expensive plugs but for five bucks they sound way better then the standard foam bullets

If it is actually happening I assume it is hush hush. No sense building up anticipation for another DVD that might get axed. I guess we'll just see if anybody spots cameramen in the first couple nights, and if not I be the boy who cried wolf.
