  1. I just placed my order (Winterland). I can't help it - I'm hooked!
  2. All of the boys in the band would like to wish you the happiest of birthdays, Judy! Keep on rockin'
  3. At least someone around here did their homework.
  4. For the Faithful is a re-issue of "Reckoning". You're gonna love that one. Comfortable like an old pair of slippers.
  5. Yeah, they shoulda been a #2 instead of Duke imo. Only 4 Big Ten teams. The conference has definitely fallen in recent years.
  6. Hmm...Hoosiers/Razorbacks in the first round. Interesting matchup. Kinda bummed that they grouped 3 Indiana teams in the East. Go Irish!
  7. I can't wait to see this dude again - it's been 20 years - he'll be in th area in a couple of weeks. Daydream http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eldS990JOHo Little Bit Of Sympathy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T58A2w61dD4 Another Day, Another Night (early version of "Day of the Eagle") http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CqCENuZ-ZE
  8. Did I miss someone mentioning Carlos Santana? I mean, the 20 favorite and no mention of Carlos yet? Steve Howe?
  9. We should probably just do that in this thread. If there was another "Top 20" thread the board would probably blow up.
  10. Yeah, the first disc (on my copy) has faint vocals for the first few songs - not uncommon during that time. It's great if you want to practice your karaoke stylings though.
  11. Obviously I don't know what you have on file, but I'd be happy to give suggestions if you do this project. It's just my opinion but there's really no need to go past '76 with that idea. Most Eyes from the last 15-20 years seem rushed - little true exploration - plus the tempos are often way fast. That song seemed to peak real early in its lifetime.
  12. A quick glance at the Compendium and DeadBase didn't yield any specific information, but my guess is that Kidd did tape these. They weren't listed in the stash of Betty Boards - and Kidd did a lot of the taping during the '72-'74 period. So that's just my guess. Wonderful run of shows. The 11/11 is one of the really great ones.
  13. Yeah. I went over there after you posted and didn't see anything. We'll see on Monday, I guess.
  14. You cannot argue with that combo - pure bliss. I never caught those two together live, so I'll say my favorite (that I've seen) would be Poor Places > Noise > Spiders. The way Spiders just sneaks in from the onslaught always makes me smile.
  15. That certainly beats lugging around a boombox on your shoulder.
  16. That's a really important point Lou. The whole uproar over the "Protect America" act, and whether or not our security is being compromised by letting it expire is a political time-bomb (sorry for the pun, not meant to be funny). God forbid that anything should happen from now until this legislation finally gets passed in some form. Aside from the obvious tragedy that would result from an attack of some kind this would be used against the Dems in such a way that it could just cripple the party for a long long time. I simply cannot understand why this issue is not being dealt with. If it IS
  17. Everybody say HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHIL! 68 years old today! I think I'll throw on the 3/15/90 show - a fantastic version of "Terrapin" on that one.
  18. Man, I hope Robert can make some of these shows - he's waited a long time.
  19. Damn, I forgot J. Geils. Great record. Unleashed is an excellent record as well.
  20. Larry Coryell and the Eleventh House (with Alphonse Mouzon - a KILLER drummer) and Billy Cobham's Spectrum are must-hear records.
  21. Quicksilver's "Happy Trails" is teh greatest. Some other faves off the top pf my head: ABB- Fillmore East GD- Live Dead Made In Japan Lou Reed - Rock and Roll Animal Live At Leeds Yessongs Live Rust Traffic - On the Road Genesis - Live (the first one) There's 10 for starters...
  22. Does fusion count? There are many who would say no. I would say yes - the first Return to Forever LP is a solid masterpiece.
  23. Great show peeps. I enjoyed sharing it with you even if we weren't actually there.
  24. Those folks that are there are getting their faces rocked off. Jeebus.
