  1. Harmony and understanding Sympathy and trust abounding No more falsehoods or derisions Golden living dreams of visions Mystic crystal revelation And the minds true liberation
  2. It'd be simpler just to post who wasn't in the Grass Roots....
  3. That dude looks a lot like a dude I went to college with.
  4. You insult a goat and you don't deserve to ever win one.
  5. You've probably seen this, but in case you haven't it's really cool (imo). Isolated bass on a "Won't Get Fooled Again" (live): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80dsyo2Ox-0 There's a similar one for Baba O' Riley and Pinball Wizard, too.....
  6. You need good fingers to work with hot dogs. Many a hot dog vendor has failed due to poor handling skills.
  7. Amazing how long he and Jack have been playing together: since the coffee shops in D.C. before S.F. and the Airplane.....
  8. Sweet. I prefer 'lectric but Jorma/Jack acoustic is a treat.
  9. Wait. I'm confused. Dylan was not sitting in on any GD sets/tunes in '87, that I recall. It was a full GD show (two sets) and then a break and then Dylan would come out and do his tunes with the GD backing him. In '86 the GD would do condensed sets with Dylan joining in on parts. It shouldn't be Dylan on Jack Straw, is what I'm getting at.
  10. That's what it was in '87. Basically, a Dead show (minus encore) and then Dylan came out and did his tunes w/ the Dead backing him.
  11. In '86 Dylan would do a set then GD (or vice versa and with Petty& Heartbreakers opening). Those shows were pretty tepid. Caught the RFK shows and they were pretty week. Not to mention hot as balls. Not to mention Garcia went into a diabetic coma shortly after the last show.
  12. They only did 6 shows together that tour. I caught 2 (Foxboro and Giants) and it was Dylan and the GD after GD did a show, first. I remember the GD opening 2nd set at Giant's w/ The Dew..... ed. My mind ain't what it used to be.
  13. You know that was my dream and you've stolen it.
  14. Young Duane Trucks (nephew of Butch and younger brother of Derek) plays drums in the new Todd Snider/Dave Schools/Neil Casal group Hard Working Americans. Caught their first live gig in Boulder last month and the kid can play.
  15. I'd blame Chris Christie for the shiner.
  16. That excludes every U2 album save for the first 2, though, and The Joshua Tree is their best album.
  17. NoJ, you were drunk, weren't you? Getting ripped off, breaking an ankle, and (undoubtably), throwing away pain killers.
