  1. What are you, a 93 year old retiree living in FLA? Radishes? Pickled fish?! Onions??!! I'm appalled.
  2. Yeah, seems to be an excessive amount of time but we don't know all the details and/or district policies/legalities.
  3. Well, did the other kid receive an imaginary wound? And, if so, how bad was the wound?
  4. So the teacher apparently warned him before and also claims his lips touched her cheek/neck. If this is true, he should be suspended for sexual harassment.
  5. If I was a panhandler I'd carry a portable credit card machine with me. One of those old-school ones that slide back and forth that cabbies sometimes still carry.
  6. My 6 yr old likes to celebrate Hannukah, too, and he;s not even a Jew.
  7. I usually cut one down in the mountains with the kids (Easter Seals grounds, marked trees, $20 donation) but the ex beat me to it this year and got a tree for my house, too. Got to give a $40 voucher to a student for a tree because of this. All good feelings all around, yo.
  8. ^ Probably should have gone in the Fans of Christmas thread but Jesus Christ there isn't one....
  9. Anybody with little kids that celebrates Xmas/Santa and doesn't know about this site, check it out. It's free and very well done. You can personalize with your kid's name, things to work on, gifts, etc. Cool shit. My youngest was pumped he made the "good list" again, though it was close: http://www.portablenorthpole.com/home?gclid=CKqy07DGt7sCFew7MgoddTEAoQ
  10. I kept picturing that creepy dude Dennis from the Ranch,,though, during the boss's description.
  11. I'm confused. The thread title, to me, means musical stuff that is bunk but that you believe.....(not YOU, per se, but the reader of the thread title).
  12. That's it, A-man. Anyone know the source of the solo acoustic "I'm Always in Love"?
  13. No, these discs were mostly Wilco with a few Tweedy solos interspersed. But, thanks for the sweet link!
  14. Charlie, do you know the version from the compilation discs that circulated around here 5-6 years ago? They might have been dubbed the "Complete Singles" discs....?
  15. re: acoustic "I'm Always in Love" I'm not sure. It may be a live version. It's Jeff solo acoustic. I have it on a compilation disc that was circulating on here some years ago.....sorry, not much help. It's got a great vibe to it, though.
  16. You'll need one anyway, come August....
  17. I really like both studio and live versions of "I'm Always in Love," but the best version, imo, is the alternate Tweedy solo acoustic take. Love that version....
  18. Per usual, well stated. You should write Op-Ed pieces, dude.
  19. GD more about drug culture than the music? That's a fucking hoot. The two are irrevocably entwined, but much of that has to do as much with media hype as it does reality. The reality is, the band lived and breathed music and morphed and evolved into many different and entertaining configurations that put music at it's forefront. Like them or not, they were WAY more about the tune and live music experience than any "drug culture." re: Cobain being the most pretentious asshole to strap on a guitar? Seriously? Because he disdained homophobes and meathead jocks and misogynists ? The guy basicall
  20. I shot my love today, would you cry for me? I lost my head again, would you lie for me?
