  1. Owsley's 3-6. Yes. Pull that trigger. Billy's birthday/set list tonight, too.
  2. Obviously a weird name. Melvin Seals and the back up gals are the hold-overs. Stu Allen plays a mean, mean guitar and has a great voice for the tunes. Taken with a grain of salt it's an enjoyable event hearing these chesnuts played. They basically play bars/small clubs and it's just an all around fun time to hear some great music in another form.
  3. Went to JGB last night and Kreutzman sat in the entire show. It was his birthay, too. He was havin' a blast. Drinks everywhere. They play again (JGB) today from 3-6 before the show. Yip yip!
  4. You meant "guy," right? I always enjoyed the outtake clips from the movies he did with Reynolds. Infectious laugh, too.
  5. Doing the garden, digging the weeds, who could ask for more?
  6. Do you honestly know how to run a washing machine? Follow up: I bet it doesn't take long to run out of shirts to fold....
  7. Calvino: Was the "Hard Rain" the Bobby/Ratdog version or the Phil/P&F version or neither? I've always really, really liked the P&F version (great lilting rhythm) compared to the Ratdog version (slow and waning). re: the setlists. Besides Drums/Space the setlists are really nothing compared to the GD ones, which makes sense. They're truly just an amalgamation of songs. The China Cat-> no Rider has been done by Ratdog and P & F a bunch with the Rider often popping up at the next show.
  8. Will do. I believe there are still tix available (though they may be behind the stage....). Also, look at craigslist. I saw a shit load on there a few weeks back.
  9. I have not heard the album yet so can't comment on it but I've read several good (positive) reviews on it. Hmm. The songs were all co-written - all except one, I believe- between the two of them.
  10. Catching them on Thurs. in Denver. JGB show from 3-6 before it, too.
  11. Nice set list. Was thinking they'd do "Sampson" due to that ol' building being torn down soon....
  12. Oh, didn't know that. Oteil is a monster on the bass.
  13. Scott Murawski, guitarist of Max Creek (that have been around since early 70s, I believe). That too! He and Kahn both.
  14. Needles or not, he's a go-getter. "The Daily News also alleges that Alex Rodriguez "pitch tipped" when he played for the Rangers by letting opponents at the plate know which pitch was coming in lopsided games. A-Rod allegedly expected players he helped would return the favor when he was having an off night and needed to improve his overall numbers." Ouch.
  15. Not to nitpick, but they really weren't rolling in the dough that much compared to other large rock act draws at the time. One of the issues was that they treated their roadies, managers, ticket employees (they had there own ticket service), office workers, merchandise people, lawyers, etc. like family and gave them all substantial percentages of the money intake. They had a very large payroll/overhead. Garcia Band used to tour a lot just to help keep the boat afloat, even then. Wasn't really towards the Touch of Gray era (87 and onward) that they were really "rollin'" in it. Regardless, Gar
  16. The only tune removed from the repertoire by fan request. I love that.
  17. What's the total on 'em? I'd only need two- are you willing to split them up? Thanks.
  18. I like Liberty. I always wanted to see them do Liberty-> Dignity (Dylan).
  19. US Blues as an encore was often a good reason to beat the rush back to the lot.
