Now we're talkin'! Coin toss for ties, too.

Since 2003 (inception year for awarding home-field to the ASG winning league) the AL has won the ASG each year yet split with the NL in WS wins.... I'm not suggesting this makes it a fair or balanced practice, just that home-field advantage is a bit over-played. I think awarding the team with the better record (of course schedules are different) is a lot fairer than basing it on one amalgamation game.

Suggesting prison as an appropriate action for this guy is ludicrous. Public service announcements/fines/whatever, sure. Cripes.

I've begun looking into the Jan. Ratdog at the swank resort deal for next year. The first one was this past Jan. and a pal went and couldn't stop raving about what a time it was. The upcoming one includes two shows (or you can do 9 days and get 4+ shows) as well as all food and drink (top shelf booze, too) included and a bunch of other included shit. Gotta look into airfare, which is excluded....

Freed up some space.... Likewise with meeting up. Nice time in the lot.

I love this aspect of places like Red Rocks. I avoid reserved seating for this very reason. I don't like to feel as if I'm at a movie and need to remained seated and eyes glued to the main event. The trees areas are good places for view and sound, mostly, too. Usually right by the beer vendors as well. My ex went with a group of folks in which some were just a little familiar with the band and others were really into the band. During the show the first category of folks were bored and some wanted to leave. It's like that at any concert, though. Nice place to hang out if you're not into the

I was at this show, as well, and was a little bummed at the noise throughout the whole show. Certainly it was more intimate because of the venues comparison but I was put off by the cramped feeling and the lack of respect for the soloist on stage with all the noise. been to plenty of Gothic shows, too. To each his own, of course.

The GD tune mentioned earlier I heard at a funeral and it was very moving. more of a ballad, though, by a "Rock" band.
-
Ah, gotcha. For the whole venue you mean? They do those, too. I think the sound is pretty decent in most spots in the venue and as one that doesn't have a lot of intense interest to be on top/close of/to whatever band I'm seeing I'm fine with the system either way. Though the GA section includes the immediate front too, so....
-
Not sure what you mean by a "true" GA seating area. The reserved section starts in the lower quarter and extends to behind the soundboard (best sounding areas) and the GA covers the rest of the entire venue...

We took the g/f's 5-year old. Worked out great. Not a problem at all (he's been to a handful of concerts there already, but still...).

It was Jason in the lot that made the night, wasn't it? Nice to meet/hang with you and your gal.

Cheers, b2!

I'll take 'em! PM on the way....

There are three main entrances to Red Rocks proper that you can line up at. Two from the bottom (below the stage you ascend and get let in at about stage level) and one from the top that will put you behind the last row upon entering. Any of these entrances is a safe bet. Nice! Hope to run into you.... Literally.

the Peak-To-Peak fest is in Ned Sat. with vending booths, bands, etc. I believe it's $15 and there will be fireworks. It's at the memorial park right off the reservoir. Can't miss it. Lots of excellent bands playing in the bars in Ned that night, too, as part of the fest.

This place has been around for ages and the staff are very friendly. Lots of cool vintage guitars, banjos, etc.: http://www.denverfolklore.com/

That BOS/BAL game was whacky last night. At one point, Masterson (who came in in "relief" for Smoltz after the rain delay) ran off the field after inducing a ground ball out with only two outs in the inning- the entire squad followed him off the field. Never seen that before.... Apparently that was the O's biggest come-back since '57 (according to a pal who texted me last night, at least). Even though my team lost it was exciting as hell watching that game. Good for the O's; they could use a boost. And, I'm glad that Smoltz looked pretty damn good last night in his short work.

That's cool. He and Gr--y Lit-le both co-coached at the school I'm working on my Masters at during the 90s. Weird.

Nah, it's still cute.

I love the enthusiasm from Sox fans that oozes through the screen when they play at Fenway South! Got like a dozen text messages last night about it from a pal that lives in Annapolis.

Yes, he is. Very nice work last nice. * *Disclaimer: Jon Lester plays for BOS so he isn't as good as the media may make him out to be.
