I was at these (July 4th weekend of '86) and they were brutally hot. Regardless, Dylan was wearing leather pants, boots, long sleeved shirt, and leather vest. He also sounded pretty cocked for much of his set(s) and his stuff with the GD. These were the last shows before Garcia's coma. They were good enough shows but they were hard to fully appreciate when all one could do was focus on trying to remain hydrated/cool. It was absolutely brutal heat.

I was thinking of this too as it's one of my all-time favorite tunes but it's really an emotional piece for a lover who's been burned by your actions. Not sure it'd make a good one for sending a friend away with. Either way, still a beautiful tune. How about "Happy trails," though? The original Dale Evans one is nice but I'd opt for the Quicksilver Messenger Service version myself.

Who's the DJ, btw? I only know one or two, but still.... I'll add to the pile in praise of seeing him regardless. The guy can do no wrong in the live setting these days.
