My predictions have been way off this season, but: Agree with Brooke (boot) with Castro and Syesha in the bottom three. Flubbing lyrics at this stage is inexcusable.

Pretty massive project mainly of the collections of Eileen Law. Looks like a pretty cool deal. I like this: "...contains historic documents, such as the band's first recording contract, with Warner Bros. Records, and notes from weekly band meetings."

This just in from Dead.net. There's a partnership with UC Santa Cruz (not sure if you posted this earlier): Tomorrow, April 24th at 11:00am Pacific Time, Bob Weir and Mickey Hart will participate in a press conference from the Fillmore Auditorium to announce an important new partnership between GDP and the University of California at Santa Cruz. Fans, scholars and Dead Heads of all kinds can watch this event live on dead.net courtesy of iclips.net. Streaming video of the broadcast will be available for a period of time after the conference as well. Fire up your browsers and tune in!

Not a bad deal for under $40, too. That's a good guess.

A twin sister?

Thanks for the head's up. That would have been pretty embarrasing if a bunch of us all sent her ponies.

My head hurt just reading the words "Ice House."

Talk about strange. I just got an email from a pal saying that Joan Osborne will be singing in Kimock's band (with Melvin Seals, John Molo, and Ray White) at our friend's place for three nights stating Friday. werd.
-
Joan was pretty damn good. She had a knack for hitting notes/parts of tunes at appropriate times and knew when not to sing. I thought she was a nice additon. Great voice, too.
-
Yeah, the Trichromes. He had Backbone for a short spell, too. I caught The Rhythm Devils at a rollerskating rink out here 1 1/2 ago with Gordon and Kimock in the band. That Durkin chick wasn't too bad, either.

I can see that. I don't think that was the vibe of the guy's post, though (and I may be off base and do not mean to speak for him). I can't see being out on a boat or at barbeque or something and wanting a beer and turning one down because it's sub-par to my standards, though.
-
I can understand a statement like that if it involves, say, pizza or sex. But not beer. Even crummy beer is still a decent beer when it's the only option.
-
Out of Boston. He formed The Modern Loverns in the mid-70s. Some of the tunes are really witty and goofy in a Pixies kind of way. Sort of intelligent pre-Punk stuff, I guess. I haven't listened to much (if any) of his solo/duet stuff but any Modern Loverns stuff is worth checking out.

This is utter lunacy.

Not unlike Comerica Park this season, I'd imagine.

I'd like to be able to buy Ballantine Ale again. That's some decent beer there.

I liked the ending. I thought it gave credit to the viewer to decide for him/herself how they want to believe it ends. I liked that loose ends were not tied up and that we're left with seeing them carrying on in their mundane yet complicated lives. It serves the viewer well to ponder the outcome. At least for me.

Cheers to you, man.

Why you'd stop one shy of a basketball team is beyond me but congratulations none the less.
