Carry on my wayward son.

I need to disagree. I think there is a good amount of overt humor in FG but there's even more subtlety/covert humor. I think some of the humor is juvenile at times, but some of it is Drnnis Miller-esque at times, too. It runs the gamut, imo. In general, I dislike dumbed-down and mindless humor.

I've heard this from a few people. I'm curious how you categorize the humor or what you mean by it doesn't work for you. I agree with Spongebob and Simpsons, though. And I've never seen South Park.

My first thought, too. Definitely a highlight of the show, no matter which episode. One of my favorite lines from the show is Quagmire piloting a plane and doing the extended "uhhhh...." over the intercom. His voice is slow and low like a typical pilot's on the speaker and he gets to the weather: "...the temperature in Atlanta is sixty-four degrees, uhhhhhhhhhh the flight is gonna be a little longer than we've expected, uh we've got some very strong head winds, (giggity). " The "giggity" is tossed in almost as if he's obligated to say it; as an aside. It's stupid but for some reason it c

Download some meditation/New Age instrumental music to your iPod prior to the flight, close your eyes, and breath slow. That stuff transports me, it might work for you. I recommend anything by Medwyn Goodall, particularly Moon Goddess.

I agree. I think anyone buying a ticket to a Pogues show is risking Shane not being there, but The Pogues minus Shane are still an excellent band. Don't get me wrong, Shane (when lucid enough to perform) is amazing and I probably wouldn't go to a show knowing in advance he wouldn't be there, but the musicians that surround him are all excellent. Rumor is he's very bloated now. The perpertual and sad decline of a brilliant song writer, unfortunatley.

Cripes, nobody listens to The Jam anymore.

"You all." Beating a dead horse is beating a dead horse, though. Not neccesarily here, but elsewhere. I think there's a diverse group of folks around here and you shouldn't let the people who enjoy pushing buttons get to you. Maybe that's easier said than done, but really. Hang out and relax for a spell, maybe.

Keep your daaaaaay-job.
