  1. The version with the hardcore jam at the end is a billion times better. Impossible Germany (with solo at the end)
  2. I'll do it. My list of shows isn't as impressive as some other people around here, but I'll trade what I can
  3. ktv extra tracks were Monday and How To Fight Lonliness, through iTunes and WilcoWorld, respectively.
  4. 1. Impossible Germany with the solo back at the end. I liked this version better. 2. Let's Fight. Never heard it, but I hope it's all good. 3. Hesitating Beauty, Wishful Thinking. 4. Hummingbird ending the main set. They've done this many a time, and I'm beginning to like it now. 5. Far, Far Away closer. By far, the best thing ever. Best setlist thus far in the tour. And nice to know the AD opened. Excellence! I hope someone caught their set also...
  5. with the original setlist revealed, i'm guessing the curfew prevented them from doing Spiders so they just rocked out the end instead of ending with Via Chicago. which is understandable, because Wilco hates to end on soft notes.
  6. impossible germany has no relevant lyrics with Wanted/Unlikely Japan except for the title, Unlikely Japan, which appears as a hook of sorts in the new tune.
  7. I think Nels' fuzz > Tweedy, especially when you use a Klon Centaur and a Z. Vex Fuzz Factory.
  8. Half a mile from the county fair And the rain keep pourin' down Me and Billy standin' there With a silver half a crown Hands are full of a fishin' rod And the tackle on our backs We just stood there gettin' wet With our backs against the fence Oh, the water Oh, the water Oh, the water Hope it don't rain all day And it stoned me to my soul Stoned me just like Jelly Roll And it stoned me And it stoned me to my soul Stoned me just like goin' home And it stoned me Then the rain let up and the sun came up And we were gettin' dry Almost let a pick-up truck nearly pass us by So we jumped right
  9. if it's a cbs-era Jazzmaster, it's probably worth around 2k-3k. pre-cbs are worth 5-8k, depending on how original the parts are, the wear on it, etc. Jazzmasters are brilliant. my dream is to own a '59.
  10. well, rather refreshing. new in the sense that they never really play Ashes and War on War in second encores, if anything. it's always like A Shot In the Arm or Via Chicago >>>>>>>>> Spiders 9/10 times.
  11. when i hear this version i think i'm at a rave. which makes me want to throw up.
  12. second encore is new, and rather ingenious. though i would have rather ended with Ashes (i like soft endings...), the second encore is refreshing.
  13. studio Hummingbird is unstoppable. the viola work is killer.
  14. Radio Cure redeems this setlist, along with Let's Fight. Tweedy mentioned it at Summerfest, and I thought it was a joke (ole!)
  15. i like how he gave 50 Cent's The Massacre 5 Stars. And accused the New Pornographers of selling out. It gave me a good laugh.
  16. He could change the spelling back to C. it's not that hard, is it?
  17. It's just the setlist makes me feel like I'm at a "Greatest Hits" concert, where they play the same things you've heard ten billion other times. I'd like a little more variation, just to keep things refreshing. I would hate playing the same songs every night. Some obviously have to be repeated, like the "Essentially Essential" but there's still plenty of room for variation, like digging through the back catalogue for more from Summerteeth besides A Shot In The Arm, or even playing some old Tupelo (!) tunes, like Gun, or New Madrid. Or even funky versions of their songs (Goth HMD, jazzz Mo
