  1. I got row P in Orch in presale. How long is the drive from Atl? Anyone else driving from GA?
  2. I agree with everything papinjohn says.
  3. Can you let us in on why you might not be needing them, Mr. ?
  4. I was thinking the same thing--what happened to "Let's Fight"?? Not that this isn't a perfect record...
  5. Whiskey Bottle Over Jesus Not forever Just for now...
  6. 1st album--Elton John, Caribou 1st concert--Paul McCartney and Wings in 1972 or thereabouts at the fabulous forum with a friend and his dad, a hot-shot Hollywood lawyer. I wasn't sure of the smell permeating the forum, but grew to like it quickly... The 70s were fine, until disco came and ruined everything for a while, but luckily punk saved the scene.
  7. Walken still takes the cake for me and I can't wait to see it live again! Sky Blue Sky track has really grown on me, from initially the weakest song, to now one of my favorites. Right now, at the moment, my least favorite is What Light. But tis all good!
  8. Yea, I know I'm probably in the minority on Chickamagua. It just never grabbed me, but all the other Jay material is some of the best music he put out, IMO. If I were ranking: Anodyne>March>ND>SFG
  9. Agree with you two. Like others have said, encountering his work contributed to new perspectives and directions in my life. I also love that Wilco has honored him in this way. RIP....

Great news! As I mentioned in other thread, I got tix for both Atl (pit row 2) and Charlotte (orchcl P). See you next week.
  11. Sweet, sweet, sweet. 4 seats 2nd row in pit in Atlanta, and one ticket for Charlotte in Orchestra row P. I'm so excited. I just can't hide it.
  12. When you get back from wherever Let me know what its like And I
  13. I'm listening to Anodyne right now, a brilliant cd though I skip "Give Me Back the Key...", and "Chickamauga". Everything else is beau-ti-ful.
  14. Ice Your only rivers run cold These city lights They shine as silver and gold Dug from the night Your eyes as black as coal Walk on by Walk on through Walk 'til you run And don't look back For here I am Carnival The wheels fly and the colors spin Through alcohol Red wine that punctures the skin Face to face In a dry and waterless place Walk on by Walk on through So sad to beseige your love so head on Stay this time Stay tonight in a lie I'm only asking but I... I think you know Come on take me away Come on take me away Come on take me home Home again And if the mountain should crumble

Watch it separate in two Whatever the day wants it to Finding out that the worst is true Finding out that it can escape you Slings and arrows completes the score Always leaving, wanting more And I try to throw it away Silver spikes and mace Displayed in your eyes Fearlessness, cannot fathom; What's on your mind? Been there, no luck at all Nothing left to lose Been there, no luck at all Nothing left to lose I've been there "Danger/Slow" says the sign ahead Exhaust fumes, Thin Lizzy instead Left all pressing cares along the road Fifteen keys, but where do they go? 16. The others are great, but BAITUSA is phenomenal. It has been in my car for last 2 months, nonstop listening while driving over and over and over again. :thumbup

I'm not sure what's going on with Atlanta tix. I called Chastain and no one there knew anything about a Wilco show, and to top it off, no one had even heard of Wilco! ("How do you spell that name?") Slightly concerned, but hope to find better news today.
  19. Thanks, I forgot about that site but see there's much ordering for me to do!
  20. I never did well on standardized tests......
