Wow. Sounds like an amazing show! Thanks for the setlist/reviews. Wendy, wonderful pics! You did a great job capturing Glenn too. (And I can't get over Jeff in the suit!! LOL) Looking forward to hearing this one myself. -
Out of curiousity, any Neko solo stuff during these shows? We're seriously thinking of trying to hit the Lawrence, KS gig. *decisions, decisions*

Fireworks during Spiders: And here's the poster (actually the brown part is really black FYI): (oceanman, it was so great meeting you and your sweetie...tell oceangirl to stop by soon...missed you guys after the show. ) eta: dellilo, welcome, and let me know if you need any of these...might be able to get a better shot of the poster as well if you're interested.

Bit late to the party, but just wanted to add that I thought this turned into a really great show. The Crossroads is not without some problems, but I think it has a lot of potential to be a great outdoor venue for KC. In any case, I'd consider giving it another shot for a favorite artist...especially Wilco. Maybe it was the perfect weather after all the rain and wind, or maybe it was the perfect concert companions , the chance to meet some other great VCers (still bummed I missed a few of you though!), and the absolutely great show the guys put on...it just all came together to make a trul

Lots of healing grandparent vibeage coming from the nation's midsection! -
As sure as surely dear kidsmoke, you will be there.

That one of Glenn is spectacular. I can see certain future drummers here finding much inspiration from that shot alone. Sounds like a great show. Thanks too for including AB's setlist, solace! Can't wait for Saturday.

Thanks all for the info and recon !! I'm encouraged. (I still have to agree with poppy, wheelchair access should not be extra though. ) Hope everyone enjoys themselves...look forward to seeing you all! P.S. jacobn., I'm no veteran or expert, but I believe soundchecks usually have been running in the 3 to 4 pm range.

Yeah, I guess so. I'm a little bummed about this VIP thing the more I think about it. Maybe I should quit thinking about it. I wonder how far back us peasants will be from the stage then?

Escape is on your mind again Escape to a far away land At times it seems there is no end To long hard nights of drinking How will you go, how will you go Drive through the wind and the rain Cover it up, cover it up I'll find you a shelter to sleep in I fell over on the couch again But you know not all sleep is wasted Your dreams are alcohol inspired I can't find a better way to face it How will you go, how will you go Drive through the wind and the rain Cover it up, cover it up I'll find you a shelter to sleep in And you know, I'll be fine Just don't ask me how it's going Gimme time, g

Thanks, bg. (Of course, I'm more than a bit biased on the matter. ) A moody storm that moved through a couple years ago (think it resulted in at least one tornado warning, but luckily no damage):
