I first heard of low wondering into an in-store performance at Northern Lights Records in Minneapolis on my way to a Bob Mould show at First Avenue. I was intrigued but didn't pay much attention to them for another decade or so. Back in 2016 when my mom died and the world went to hell, I made a mourning playlist. Just make it stop was the 2nd song I chose for it. RIP. Awful news.

I'd sworn him off live even before is #metoo controversy. I saw him twice and both shows were sleepers. He released some of my favorite stuff in the late 20th and early 21st century and I can't swear off Whiskeytown and his early solo LPs. Hard for me to dive into his new stuff though.

Ramy season 3 on Hulu is fantastic. At least the first 2 episodes. The 2nd has some of the most compelling political drama and satire I've seen on television.

Only in the age of streaming could you have an episode of a show that's typically 30 minutes reduced to 16 or so to be the length of a song. Brilliant use of the medium.

Just unimaginable. We've lived with Roe for 50 years. Will it be 50 more before abortion rights are GUARANTEED? What this nation seriously needs is a privacy amendment to the Constitution. Overhaul the way big tech runs, protect our medical privacy, our sexual privacy.

Watched the first episode last night. So good. Highly recommended.
