I had the JT solo version pop up on my shuffle the other day (05-16-2003) and thought it sounded like a fun song to play. Here is my cleaned up version of the tab/chord. Thanks to the prior poster for getting it started. Anyone want to help out and finish the break tab? Yes, or vintage guitars. I haven't seen that "buck" SJ-200 with double pick-guard before.

Why is there such disappointment over Wilco(The Album)?

Yes. This is how I feel about WTA. -
I love 12-fret dreads with the shifted soundhole and fat necks. That is a beauty - but not worth 6K.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nzwPUS_Glo I love this song ... and I love this arrangement, too.

Tweedy's Solo Impossible Germany?
anthony replied to iamtryingtobreakyourheart's topic in Lyrics and Tabs
I am not sure how JT plays it solo (I think he plays power chords: 77 / 57 / 45 / 24 ), but here is how I play it solo acoustic. I try to mix up the 7s with regular chords to not make it so monotonous (i.e., Am in lieu of Am7, Em in lieu of Em7, etc.) The little intro is what Pat plays (I think) on the LP version. It sounds pretty pretty good due to the open string drone, IMHO YMMV. Good luck! GW is damn close. This is a good call. By the way, where she been? That last record seemed forever ago!

Just picked up these three today from my local used CD store:

I think Led Zeppelin is the only one that qualifies.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMy_w5HsfdI How about Billy Preston's solo on "Get Back"? Certainly memorable. (at 1:20 in video above)

Yes. I think stuff from Wilco Book, three EPs, ST DVD or Ashes DVD would not be as interesting as true B-sides or misc. soundtrack songs.

Now this is gear porn. Before i go 6ft under, I really would like a Pre-War D-18

Looking over the "Non-Album Tracks" thread made me think that JT could put together a really cool B-side compilation of studio tracks not on an album or EP. Think how cool a record with this track listing would be: Blasting Fonda Cars Can’t Escape Childlike and Evergreen Just a Kid No More Poetry Promising Student Loan Stereo Any Major Dude Will Tell You Burned I Am Not Willin The Jolly Banker One Hundred Years From Now Thirteen The T.B. Is Whipping Me True Love Will Find You In The End When the Roses Bloom Again Tried And True Unlikely Japan I realize that they are all available piece-m

Horrifying ... yes. Awesome ... no Admittedly, I am not an electric guitar guy (don't own a single one), but for me the best looking electric is the most simple (and on of the first solid bodies ever): the Telecaster. I especially think white ones with rosewood fretboards are the best flavor.

Here is what I have. The 'intro' is not note-for-note, of course, but gives you the idea. Wilco - Jesus, Etc. new Iron & Wine - "Kiss Each Other Clean"
anthony replied to okp greg's topic in Someone Else's Song
I am a big I&W fan, but I have to admit that I have mixed feelings about the new record. I appreciate when artists challenge themselves and not just recycle ideas. However, I really loved the spartan, stripped-down folk songs of Sam's earlier work. The "everything but the sink" approach is not quite working for me (stole that phrase from another fansite). I am gonna have to give this one some time; i doesn't grab me right off the bat... -
