  1. I have 2 mezzanine level box D row 1 tickets for Monday nights show. I am willing to eat the Ticketmaster costs on the pair. Tickets are electronic, my wife and I are going to Monday’s show so if buying these type of tickets scares you, we are happy to walk in with you. 86 each obo
  2. Were you also the guy that kept yelling "Hoodoo" ??? Am I alone in thinking that would have near ruined this perfect set?
  3. Jeff gave Champaign another jab last night as he compared the clapping of the Milwaukee crowd saying something to the effect of even if you guys are not great, you are soooo much better than Friday's show in Champaign. Personally I think Champaign smells when the wind blows right and the kids are lame. And there is no comparison between Foellinger and Pabst. That said Champaign is a nice place to visit for a show as the people were all generally nice and you never know when you might run into Borat.
  4. "After forty years of recording acoustic music, it's not very often that a new band catches (and keeps) my attention. Old School Freight Train has done that and more. Their finely crafted tunes and innovative arrangements bring creativity, taste and wit to a broad spectrum of contemporary styles - vocal and instrumental, all firmly rooted in many traditions. They are certainly an emerging force to reckon with in today's wide world of acoustic music." - David Grisman For those of you who don't know...David "Dawg" Grisman collaborated regularly with Jerry Garcia and is considered to be the fa
  5. I had the exact opposite experience at my local Best Buy. I stopped by during lunch on Tuesday and was nosing around the music DVD's. An employee came up to me and asked if he could help. I said a new music DVD just came out today, and he had a sly grin on his face as I said "Sunken Treasure" He said he knew I was going to say that. I said good, that means it must be selling. He replied, "I do not even work in this department and this is the third one I got today." He cruised to the back, took about 15 seconds and returned with my (now 3x watched) DVD. But I agree this is an exception
  6. Jeff was amazing last night. He went 22 songs with a heavy heart and an understandable desire to be elsewhere. He said in typical Tweedy fashion that his mom would have been so mad at him if he had not been there last night. Well he made her proud witih an extremely emotional performance. Hopefully it provided a release for him. He dedicated the 2nd encore "What Light" to his aunt Judy, another nice family moment.
  7. Revolver Blonde on Blonde Yankee Hotel Foxtrot All Things Must Pass Abbey Road White Album Summerteeth Being There Highway 61 Revisited Rubber Soul What this should be is top 10 albums that do not include Beatles Dylan Wilco. Taking out those bands my top 10, reads: Pet Sounds Smile Blue American Idiot Joshua Tree Nothing's Shocking Bookends 40 oz. to freedom Midnite Vultures OK Computer
  8. AM: Passenger Side / Shouldn't Be Ashamed BT: Both song 1's / Monday (bad idea to sell Wilco, Wilco sells itself) MA1: Hesitating Beauty / Hoodoo ST: Summerteeth / Future Age MA2: Remember the Mountain Bed / Blood of lamb YHF: Poor Places / Heavy Metal Drummer (so disassociated, I am not sure it still exists) AGIB: Spiders / I'm a wheel
  9. Sean and Dhani master fathers sound and looks, team with Ringo and Paul for new album
  10. The Hulkster had "I am a real American" The Macho Man had "Pomp and Circumstance" I would use the Pieholden instrumental
  11. 31/M/Chicago. Not normally interested in boards. If you read this thread through you may understand why. The posts on topic are genuine, and inspiring that so many of you love Wilco as much as I do. I found Wilco in a backwards way. Grew up in Chicago, in high school for UT's years (89-93). Spent my youth listening to the great singer songwriters. Lennon, Harrison, McCartney, Dylan, Brian Wilson, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon. As college turned to real life and Wilco was releasing great albums I was listening to great albums by Pumpkins, Beck, Radiohead, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Urge Overkill
  12. He was definitely joking on the 1/3 happy to be here comment. Every single band that played the most amazing concert venue anywhere commented on how excited they were to be here. And how amazing the setting was. Well in typical Jeff sarcasm, he said that 1/3 of the band was happy to be here.
