  1. I wholeheartedly agree with your statement, which is why I said that I was completely kidding. These are complicated issues and complicated times, and I think that everyone who works hard in this country should be able to live with a sense of comfort and security. that is with all honesty.
  2. I don't know that we've formally met, Mr. Poongoogler. But I, too, thank God that we're finally going to take money from people who've worked hard for it, and give it to people who choose not to work quite as hard. God damnit, you've got to be kind. edit: I should add that I'm totally fucking kidding.

  12. --> QUOTE(Paul B @ Oct 3 2006, 02:35 PM) I always associated Don Henley with what was wrong with America....you know, the crappy pop music and all. I may be wrong though. No, you're pretty much on target.
  13. Fair point, ction, regarding promos. And no, I don't watch the show-I caught the first episode, but after previewing the contestants, I decided to seek other network programming to satisfy my television softcore porn reality show desires.
  14. I realize it was filmed awhile back, but doesn't that even further suggest the possibility that the network's political correctness police did not like the direction the competition was taking, and therfore tinkered with the format? And it certainly supports the accusation that they advertised a racially-segregated show, knowing it would only last through two episodes.
  15. I believe CBS has been neutered. I just read that they abandoned the racial segregation theme after only two episodes on the new Survivor. Can someone confirm this? My point is that if they were going to address racial issues, they should have just done it, and let the public react as they will. But it appears now that this was nothing more than an ad campaign, and they didn't have the balls to show what they advertised. I'm not saying the segregation idea was a good one to begin with, but either do it and see it through, or just leave it on the pitching floor.
