Being a somewhat middle aged white guy I don't find it necessarily geared toward me. I think the lineup is diverse and far more interesting than many other fests. That being said I would have loved to have seen an act like the replacements (no surprise given my name) or someone on the level of spoon but I think that goes against the nature of the festival. Their are the established acts ie legends like Taj Mahal Richard Thompson and Charles Lloyd and then there are newer semi established acts like real estate and such and then there are more up and coming acts like parquet courts and Mac demar

At a small Radiohead show in the 90s when they were touring for The Bends I was on some illicit substance that shall remain nameless and I peaked during Fake Plastic Trees just as Thom Yorke sang the line "If I could only be what you wanted..." Truly a beautiful transcendent moment.

I listened to a few for a bit. One was a version of Impossible Germany (or Unlikely Japan I suppose depending).

So I received my deluxe version on Saturday which was great except for the fact that I had work both Saturday and Sunday and plans to go out with my wife on Saturday night. Having heard the album I already knew it was pretty terrific so I was excited to download the bonus disc which I did and listened to on my subway ride to work on Sunday morning. A nice addition to my weekend mostly working. And super glad to hear the actual disc of the Whole Love today!

Really? A whole set! I got an email last week that I won tickets, I thought I was just going to see Letterman and see them play one song, this is awesome news! Now I feel even more lucky. Anyone else get lucky?

Listening to the leak now, really liking "Cruel." Before this I only really knew her from a duet on a song by the National, she has a great voice. Liking this so far.

This little snippet is quite exciting. Now I am sure I will end up listening to an early live stream if there is one.

That guy is terrific! And I have to agree Lagunitas has some great beers. This being one of them. I picked up two last year and drank one last summer and it was really great, just like he said quite malty with hints of molasses and raisins. Really great brew. Still have one in the basement, maybe I will break it out to accompany the new record, hopefully it's gamey enough to accompany the beer.

Woohoo! Just scored 2 tickets to the 2nd night in NYC and I thought for sure trying the presale would be futile.

I too after nearly 12 minutes of fruitless refreshing and typing of countless captcha phrases was successful for NY! Glad to see its not just the scalpers who are getting in on these presales.

I was wondering if any one had some suggestions on a decent not overly expensive system or set up for listening to vinyl. I suppose I need just about everything from the turntable to speakers and everything in between. Definitely wouldn't want to spend more than a few hundred bucks but want to experience the full sound of all the Wilco vinyl that I have been collecting.
