  1. You've got 4 on your list that are definitely making mine, Kalle.
  2. Yeah, he does so much looping and layering on that song. It's really amazing what he can do by himself up there, even if Dosh and the bassist aren't with him.
  3. Man, Andrew Bird is my favorite musician. I can't wait for both of these albums. If you haven't seen him live, I highly recommend it. His lives shows are incredible.
  4. tough crowd. I'm not a huge fan of Coldplay, but I feel with all this hate, someone should defend them. Solace, I think you are overblowing the arcade fire comparisons. The entire album doesn't sound like Arcade Fire at all (I would say I heard some influence on the end of 42 and the beginning of the following song) and Arcade Fire wasn't the first band to use strings and pound big drums on stage, or hold a horn in a photo. I completely buy that they are trying to be like U2 and its obvious chris martin is emulating Bono's stage presence (which is painful to watch). I like listening to
  5. I like it, but after I started the other thread about this album, I learned there are about 5 or so people on this board who would enjoy seeing Chris Martin dead. 42 is a really cool song, and I love the string treatments on Yes. Solid album all around. The only weak song I think is Cemeteries of London, which is a shame, because it makes the album start up kinda slow. I think Violet Hill would have worked well as the 2nd track. Overall, after not liking the boring X & Y, I am really enjoying this and I'm glad they finally strayed away from their normal formula for writing songs. I'm i
  6. Yeah, I read that review. Sounds promising. I cannot wait for this.
  7. 4 hours, that is amazing. I was in Borders today and they played the entire album. It was cool looking through books while music you actually like was playing the entire time.
  8. The tracklist: 01 "Orphans" 02 "Gamma Ray" 03 "Chemtrails" 04 "Modern Guilt" 05 "Youthless" 06 "Walls" 07 "Replica" 08 "Soul of A Man" 09 "Profanity Prayers" 10 "Volcano" Due on July 7. Leak due soon.
  9. I thought this was a pretty entertaining review of the album (from a music blog called Radio Cure):
  10. That Wallflowers album was one of the first CDs I ever got. I listened to the heck out of it back in 5th or 6th grade.
  11. I've listened to this new album a few times now. I like a lot, not much of a departure from their previous work, but a solid album.
  12. Wow, I didn't read your text and went straight to the link to the jumble and I was trying to figure out which mixed up word spelled W-I-L-C-O.
  13. FourStrongWinds- I noticed you have Trance Manual by John Vanderslice on your muxtape. That is such an awesome song. Have you ever seen him live? I highly recommend it if you haven't.
  14. Man, people really hate Coldplay.
  15. I really like this so far. It really has no radio singles, it's more of just a cohesive album and I like that. It has some really beautiful sounds and textures going on. Definitely a bit of a departure and that's the main thing I'm glad about. At least they tried to do something a little different than what they've done in the past.
  16. this thing is out there now. I'm gonna give it a listen soon.
  17. man, I really loved the 2nd one better than the first. I'm pumped for this new release.
  18. Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again by Cat Power is by far my favorite track on this album.
  19. I was at that show and I thought he said..."This song is about what I hate about rock and roll and what I love about it" as he introduced Let's Not Get Carried Away.
  20. One year later, Shake It Off is still a terrible song.
