  1. Touch Me I'm About To Scream Pt. II leaked on a blog.
  2. He is in the middle of recording an album. Pronto is the name and their music is great. I agree. I think the best way to do that would to have the full band work some of those songs into their set. Some of Mikael's songs, Autumn Defense songs, Loose Fur stuff, etc, etc. The band could easily rock them out if they wanted to. Of course they would never do this, but it would be awesome.
  3. 90 percent of bob marley's songs sound exactly the same. boring.
  4. I don't know, I've never seen MMJ live and his vocals do seem different on this recording. They aren't as powerful, and they don't seem to be as drenched in reverb as they usually are. Just kinda seems like a weak falsetto. It's not terrible, but those vocals could be A LOT better.
  5. Pet Sounds is boring The Beatles didn't make a good album until Revolver I think Pavement sucks
  6. Man, just give us the whole thing, Jim. Please.
  7. if you missed the black keys on letterman, HERE is the link where you can watch it. It's well worth your time and I was really impressed. a lot of bands don't sound so great on TV, but I think this song really captures their music well.
  8. Andrew Bird's 2nd NYTimes blog entry Pretty cool that he describes the recording process and even gives us a fairly large snippet of a new song.
  9. Adam Torres (also goes by Nostra Nova). He is from Athens, OH and he is an amazing songwriter. I really encourage you guys to listen to a few songs here: adam torres he took his myspace stuff down, I think because he wants to try to go back to school and finish his degree. His music is really incredible stuff. If you only listen to one song on that page, check out Breakneck Jane's Fifteen Minute Escape.
  10. I cannot stand fade ins or fade outs. To me, it's just a lazy way to start or stop the song.
  11. I saw Josh Ritter the other night and I just read this interview with him. Speaking of performing, I know firsthand that your live sets are awesome. With downloading and blogging becoming a near mainstream commodity, a lot of artists have to rely on their live shows to be profitable. What is your stance on the new downloading era? I don't have a problem with it, really. There are a ton of bands, myself probably included, that wouldn't be nearly as big as they are without the help of downloads and blogs. I think it's a whole new wave of technology really, how the radio was for singers when i
  12. they also have a new album coming out july 22. woo hoo!
  13. From ESPN's Page 2. These are hilarious:
  14. Can't be anymore disturbing than the album art from Loose Fur's Born Again in the USA.
  15. Solace, what is their other record besides "Beward of the Maniacs" and "Visiter?" I thought those were the only 2...
  16. To clarify, I mean studio albums, not bootlegs.
  17. This is simple enough. You don't have to say (post) whether or not you download music without paying for it, but I set up this poll just to get a feel for how many people out there download music without paying for it on a regular basis. Feel free to comment on why you do or why you don't, but you don't have to. I won't judge you and I hope no one else will here either. I just think downloading music without paying is becoming the main way young people get and discover music.
  18. Jeff- a pissed off UPS driver who despises his job- I can see him perfectly in one of those brown suits John- High school teacher Glenn- Works at the Patent Office Mike- Some sort of chemical engineer or something Nels- Mail carrier Pat- Swinger
  19. I think this board needs some more Reds fans. How about Johnny Cueto!
  20. I'd say its the same basic song, just Let's Not Get Carried Away is a reworked version with a totally different lineup.
