Who's left it is.... I saw them several years ago do Quadrophenia and it was fun. LouieB

Yea, but it got him tons of attention....see someone is even doing a report on him. Chicago has tons of real poets, but Thax gets the attention. LouieB

And Lost Sounds DID win a Grammy...sweet.. and well deserved. LouieB

A great one I thought of the middle of the night is "Married Men" by the Roches... LouieB

The folks at Archeophone records actually got a Grammy for Lost Sounds, a CD set I have been plugging for a few months. Pretty sweet for a two person operation. Why all the time for the Eagles tribute? I am not an Eagles hater, but it was pretty long. Meanwhile Gnarls Barkley slowed down Crazy so it lasted half the night. LouieB

Yea, he did for 6 weeks until he realized that NYC is a tough town if you have no money or friends. LouieB

I do remember the overalls with one strap off, something I didn't do because by the 90s I gave up overalls, since those were my favorite clothes during the 70s, with both straps on. LouieB

Jeff Tweedy is a shape changer...beware of him..... (Is this place starting to get weird or what???) LouieB

Sure hope there is a Chicago date......let's assume there will be. LouieB

Don't strain yourself..there is really nothing TO get.... LouieB

That's a regular part of my wardrobe anyway. LouieB

Is anyone keeping track of Thax anymore? LouieB

Robyn sure looks good in grey.... LouieB

Strangely the only fashion statement I can think of from the 90s were the barely visible 2 day growth goatees that some guys used to sport (such as Kurt himself.) Considering I have sported a full few week length beard for years, I am not planning on shaving just to get that look. LouieB

Honestly I don't think I HAVE anything else.... LouieB

Bumping this for the hell of it....can someone tell me how to dress in the 90s?? I mean if it is torn jeans and flannel, that has been something i have been wearing for decades.....I just don't have a clue.... LouieB

Weirdos of the world unite.....If you decide to actually order it, tell them I sent you. It won't get you a discount or anything (or me either...they are a very small company), but I am sure they don't sell tons of CDs and I know they like feedback. I just think it is so funny they are headed to the Grammys. LouieB

Andrew may have played himself into a dead end or two this time. Each time I see him actually "play" the violin (like he did on this show...) I keep wanting to shake him and say, DO MORE OF THAT; stop the plucking and whistling and kick some ass on the fiddle. LouieB

I remember that song, but until you brought it up again I had forgotten.... Add Country Joe and the Fish....and their take on the Muscrat Ramble that starts with the Fish cheer. Incidentally, I did order a copy of this CD set, just as the Archeophone folks were on their way to LA for the Grammys. LouieB

Glenn is particularly excited about this, since the director is one of his former teachers. Should be an interesting event. LouieB

Okay that was fun too....talked to some interesting people and heard some great music. Jeff Parker ran through some solo stuff, from totally improv, to some noise and effects laiden stuff, to some sort of straight ahead jazz. Glenn and company did total improv with Glenn on percussion, a Kent Kessler look alike on bass and a guy on an acoustic lap steel in a box that he played around with. Fun and not too late. Glenn is doing a percussion thing at Elmhurst College in a few weeks also. LouieB

The Cliffs/Sparks notes on the budget boils down to one thing...if you are spending billions on an endless and fruitless war, there is little or no money for programs to actually benefit people, such as health, education and welfare.....its just that simple... LouieB
-
Good point....he needed room for the violin and mandolin too....doin a bit of Harpo Marx.... LouieB
-
Good point..... Really it doesn't matter either way...let's hope this one is halfway decent for all the fans out there. LouieB

Isn't this like 1/2 Smashing Pumpkins? LouieB
