Nah, I figure that shit is kind of ephemeral. Maybe someone else can find it, it would be from back in late October or early November. I doubt I ever posted my delta trip, but it was fun too. No probably not, but his work was very significant. Very facinating is the Jelly Roll Morton interview that was recently released in full. I love the part where Alan asks Jelly Roll if some musical figure was a "fairy". As long as we are talking about early rare recordings I want to put another plug in for Archeophone Records out of Champaign, who were nice enough to meet with me and my friend Chris o -

Nothing wrong with promoting local music scenes....either past, present or future... LouieB -
It sounds like the Street Legal might be worth a listen if it is remixed. Not particularly interested in remastering since I am happy with the old LPs. LouieB

I'm interested... LouieB -
Yea, someone tell me. I have always liked Street Legal alot the way it was, but then I have the original LP. RS said that the remix was lots better. Not at the top of my list to buy. LouieB

I have been to Bristol in the last year. The Birthplace of Country Music museum badly needs to get out of that basement however..... LouieB -
yea me too....Rolling Stone gave it 5 stars as expected. The only thing stopping me from buying it is I am not in Chicago. I did learn one new thing from the Dylan interview and associated articles. I had not realized that a remixed Street Legal had been released a few years back. Gotta get me that. LouieB

What't that mean?? That older people don't have i-pods (they do) or that younger people aren't crazy about him too and going to make Modern Times a huge seller?? (From the buzz around here everyone is viewing MT as a masterpeice, which it well may be.) I was going to start a thread on the Rolling Stone articles (both the interview and the album review.) Interesting stuff. LouieB

15 weeks? How is that possible? I want to retire NOW. LouieB -
Cleaning a record will certainly help, but just because you can't see sratches doesn't mean there aren't imperfections on a much smaller scale that is affecting how it is playing. Giving examples of this is far to boring. LouieB

Well it certainly is sort of interesting to see Dylan totally undone and Lennon more than a bit irritated by it. (Too bad they aren't playing music, now that would have been something to see over and over.) Having seen it a couple times, I don't really need to see it that often, but I suppose it has some interest, in a kind of weird way. (Wouldn't it be great if they had a film crew there the day Dylan turned the Beatles on???) LouieB

All vinyl records, even brand new ones are going to have surface noise, some more than others. This brings up lots of interesting issues. I have nearly new albums that sound worse than albums from the 50s and 60s that are very used. Sure a better cartridge may make an album sound better than a cheap one, but an album that has surface issues will still have those same issues even with a better cartridge and needle. Don't forget this is just a piece of plastic that is mass produced off a machine that has basically stamped it out. If the company producing it isn't worried about quality co

This is a Utah Phillips song; which if you know that may help find the chords. Try this.... LouieB

Yea, really. It isn't like we don't know that these guys had some drug problems at certain times (depending on if you believe some of the reports), but this footage is just a drag. LouieB

This is some of the stupidest and most embarrassing footage ever. Dylan should actually put out Eat the Document officially in order to get rid of that stupid add-on. It is embarrassing for him and for poor John Lennon who is trying to remain somewhat dignified. LouieB

I guess that's how he was able to hit all those HIGH notes. LouieB
