ill be at the friday night show. im pumped for glenn, apprehensive about bryce, despite the fact that i love the national. -
damnit im so outta the loop :/

i was on the national's website looking at their upcoming shows, because last night i went to wilco and subsequently missed them. so now im seeing March 13+14 The Kitchen with Glenn Kotche. at first i got incredibly incredibly excited, but i read deeper into it and it looks like its only bryce dessner (the guitarist i believe?) + glenn kotche, not the full national + glenn kotche, but i dont know that for sure. im somewhat confused, and if anyone knows anything about this it would help me out a lot. theres the link, simply looking at the dates will give a much better explanation than my

I just got back from Philadelphia this morning. I had seats in the AA section, which was amazing. Props to whoever requested Nothingsevergonnastandinmyway. I was so psyched when they played Kamera and Pot Kettle Black too. The last Wilco show I went to they didn't play A Shot in the Arm, but singing along this time was amazing. I also loved You Are My Face, but was especially thrilled with She's A Jar. Overall a great show, although I was counting on IATTBYH or War on War or Monday at the end. I can't wait for New Haven tonight! -
one final post before i head out. see yall there!

thats very shortsighted in my opinion. moral obligations dont go out the window just because of someones actions.

ok so i am a huge fan of the journalist/essayist chuck klosterman, and have been reading various collections of his older/more significant essays. before each one, he poses a question to the reader that (usually) is somehow conceptually related to the subject matter of the essay. i find the majority of the questions really interesting, so i figure it would be equally interesting to hear some peoples' responses. ill post a few, and if you guys like them ill continue :/ Let us assume you met a rudimentary magician. Let us assume he can do five tricks - he can pull a rabbit out of his hat, h

discuss your love/hate, greatness/mediocrity of this genre. its probablty my favorite musical movement, the cure, joy division, siouxsie, and sonic youth are possibly my favorite bands ever. i have always been attracted to this type of music; i love the overall emotion and weight it has. other bands i obsess over include: Drive Like Jehu Hot Snakes Mission of Burma Public Image Ltd The Fall Wire Television Gang of Four Jesus and Mary Chain Unwound

so i was just wondering about the amount of wilco related merchandise everyone here has, not just a specific type, like, the totality of your wilco stuff. i was thinking that instead of an ancient watch or valuable memento, id pass on my giant box of wilco stuff to my (potential?) kids. scattered throughout my house i have: every wilco/billy bragg and wilco CD, minus AM YHF Vinyl Ghost Vinyl 3-4 shirts a sweatshirt a glenn kotche wristband (unaccounted for) the wilco book adult head I am trying to break your heart sunken treasure 4 posters a little wilco magnet thing on the fridge thi
