ok so im sure there are numerous threads discussing the alleged "genius" of jeff's lyrics, but i just wanted to comment on the incredible consistency of them. in almost every song, there are lines or phrases or multiple lines and phrases that i consider to be both beautiful and meaningful. the best way i can describe it is that there is at least a line from every song that i would want to put in my "favorite quotes" section of facebook. im going to assume that this fact isnt unknown to many people, and is probably one of the central reasons for liking wilco so much. but i was listening

sometimes i like songs to give me emotional breakdowns, not help me get through them. thats just me though

in their defense, its pretty obvious that they were trying to exaggerate the quality of the items put up for auction on ebay. there are also lots of different "writers," so no matter what there will be some contradictions.

the NFTS im think of is off the yhf engineer demos. do they not play these songs cause they were on any official wilco releases?

it sucks, but ive never needed earplugs for a wilco show. i did however bring plugs to mogwai

well i went to make a request via wilcoworld, but (unfortunately) they did not have a few of the songs i had in mind to request available for selection (not for the season, venus stop the train). soooo, i thought i would make a thread in the hope of being seen/considered for a request at the Tower Theatre show, for Not For The Season/Venus Stop The Train. although it has crossed my mind that because those songs weren't even on the list in the first place, they wont even be considered for request. but i just love them too much not to try
