Well, a. i love them b. they just announced north american dates hence topic. discuss! i think Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts is one of the best albums of the last 10 years. easily one of my favorites. however, his recent stuff has been pretty mediocre.

Say what you will about selling out; my main problems with Wilco playing TV shows, the VW commercials, etc, is that with the widening fanbase, especially after SBS came out, people will be attracted to Wilco via their boring, uninteresting material. basically people will like them because of the "classic rock" sound, the jam band-like guitar solos, the accessibility thats prevalent on sbs. their progression as a band, their overall musicality, their range, their willingness to experiment, tweedy's intelligent lyricism - the reasons i love wilco - will go unnoticed by this new group of fans.

i hope so.

im from connecticut, and it definitely has its share of negatives. but i love its proximity to NYC anyways, north carolina, virginia, etc.
