What songs do you want to hear in the Tweedy show not played yet?
theashtraysays replied to remphish1's topic in Just A Fan
I’m looking forward to the solo debut of You Satellite. I love it when he takes a really epic full-band song and reimagines it solo acoustic. Bull Black Nova (obviously), Diamond Light, Spiders.. to name a few... those all increase their interestingness in their solo form. Dark Neon would be another one that intrigues me in that vein. -
I saw this excerpt from the earnings call with the CEO of LiveNation Michael Rapino. Article here https://metalinjection.net/its-just-business/live-nation-ceo-outlines-reopening-strategy-experimenting-with-shows-in-the-fall-be-on-sale-in-q3-q4-full-scale-by-2021?fbclid=IwAR2OUTl9eyBNB8VSvU6fQQ--hZTqS_Iy6AIrIkhjSVBHuFBiPuar2PNMX98 Seems as reasonable a plan as any. ps - I have no idea why a Metal Injection story popped up on my FB feed other than the topic itself,

Correct !! Thanks for the catch there.

They landed on Wed and Sat off (for now anyway). So yeah, no show tonight. Don't think they did a poll.

Save it for the press conference.

My concert streak is coming to a end!

Just today I got the email that the Andrew Bird / Calexico show in June is postponed till further notice. So assuming the Jeff Vic shows get moved, my only actual scheduled show with a ticket is our Railbird festival in August. Sigh. -

Bummer. Asterisks suck, but I’ve got no good ideas. I can’t even think of any non-US countries that are loose enough for a show right now. I was hopeful to beat my “personal best” of 57 from last year but there’s no way I’ll get there now. Alas. -
I greatly enjoyed this evening’s episode.

I am not at all a fan of TM. But yesterday I did get a refund of the Roger Waters tix I bought several weeks ago. He rescheduled his whole tour to sometime in 2021.

The Portland show that was 3/24 (night 2) at Arlene Schnitzer is now Nov 10 at Keller. (although the email I got with the ticket change says that it was changed from Sept 30 at Schnitzer... strange). Haven't seen anything new on Wilcoworld for any shows yet, nor have I heard anything about the other PNW tickets.

Hey we got about 3 nanoseconds of Susie right there at the end!!

Kudos to the person who asked what a bull black nova was. Perhaps someday some episode sometime we’ll get the actual song too!!

So it was YOU with the sign??

Hey that’s great news!! Stay safe ...

I start work from home tomorrow, and was considering all the benefits of that. - Riley (the family dog) curled up on the rug beside me all day - Eating my daily salad from an actual bowl instead of a plastic container (bonus points for a non-plastic fork!!) - Music from speakers instead of earbuds - Wayyyyy better view out my own window - Not having to decide in the morning what snacks I'll want that day (there will be snacks!) - Lack of white noise attempting to drown out the cubicle drone - Coats / umbrellas not needed - My Wilco (and others) poster walls - A REAL whiteboard - Did I mention

As we suspend our in-person live music outings for a bit, I thought it would be good to have a special place for the virtual gatherings we're all enjoying. If you get the luxury of going to a REAL show, please post in the other normal thread... but maybe we could put our interwebs stuff here. In some ways, this is a nice little bonus in that we can see some acts/bands that we normally wouldn't go see and check them out in a free / no risk kinda way. (Yes, I'm an optimist). nalafej had this link for a calendar (thanks!) I watched the Low Cut Connie stream last night. He's doing more, a

Congrats (I think?). I'm sure it's a relief to be getting some answers. Hang in there and let us know how it turns out. Vince

I can’t imagine. Here In Kentucky we’re observing 14 days of mourning for the March Madness cancellation.
