  1. From Sue on FB to that same question - "Yes. Might only be the first 25 though. Jeff might pick a few himself. Plus there is no "golden circle" this year, so the line will also be able to be up front. See you there!"
  2. So, does he have a jumbo with him? Is it just the old Martin and a Kel so far? We're getting close to Nashville (I'm going), and he's gonna need a bigger guitar....
  3. Something indeed! Well done...
  4. Did he play all the songs with just his usual small Martin guitar? Or did you happen to see one of the jumbo's with him? You know, in case there was some song later on the tour that required that larger one... asking for a friend.

  6. I historically haven't posted in this thread (cause I kinda don't read books), but I've been on quite a reading kick since the Jeff book came out last fall. So far this year I've re-introduced myself to my library card and have now completed SIX actual books since finishing the JT memoir in a 4-day binge in Nov. Animal Farm (Orwell) - I re-read 1984 last year and it terrified me. Animal Farm was less interesting, more dogmatic. Calypso (David Sedaris) - Liked it a lot. Haven't read his others, but like his humor. Washington Black (Esi Edugyan) - Very well written, interesting story. The O
  7. Hey TCP, he’s Canadian, right? Asking for a friend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. outcry? OUTCRY? I'LL GIVE YOU A FUCKING OUTCRY! WHY AREN'T THERE ANY 'MERICAN DATES? that is all.
  9. Oh, shit. Let us know how this turns out. Vince
  10. Highway Anxiety is excellent, and is full band like the new one. Earlier stuff is mostly solo acoustic. I saw Ohmme last week - Sentient Beings was the standout track in their set.
  11. Constant repeat since Friday for me. His last one was incredible, so he had set a pretty high bar for himself. This one does not disappoint.
  12. Today my wife asked me "hey, are you going to see (random band name playing in our town with bearded guys that popped up on her FB)"? Me: "Nah, I've never seen them on Chez or PopTodd's NowPlaying posts, so I can't imagine they're any good".
  13. Standard disclosure - this year could be quite different; for example there are no "gold circle" (first 5-ish rows) tickets being sold, and Sue mentioned last year that they might change up the request format from then on. As noted above, finding out the setlist at 4:00 same day isn't ideal for Jeff, especially when folks in line love to request rarities and obscure songs not often played. That said, some notable points for the show. The Vic is a small converted theater with a slightly "tiered" floor and a balcony. The floor is mostly set up with folding chairs down front, and then slopes /
  14. I really don’t know. I suspect it’ll be something they haven’t done yet but they’ve sure done a lot. Maybe a spin-the-wheel setlist? Stage in the middle and play in the round? Rotating instruments between them?
  15. Bandsintown just popped up this morning with Jeff Tweedy in Louisville KY at Headliners on April 16. No ticket info yet. It's a medium-sized club, almost always GA standing.
  16. Well if there is a video of some sort, I sure hope they include a segment of the opening acts greatest “hits” on unsuspecting audience members. Now THAT’S entertainment! Cheers and thanks as always for the reporting. Hey and since we’re getting close to the Grammys, maybe tonight you can ask what his favorite foo fighters song is...
  17. Merry Christmas Clean Up Day!! It was certainly a wonderful day here... but the Wilco B-side "Glad It's Over" seems like an appropriate tune to spin today
