Good read! Best quote (in response to a question about whether or not they think about what the listeners will "use" the music for):

*laughs again* I actually love Hazards. Maybe that's because it's the record where I started with them (lotta hype for sure got my attention at the time). It's still my go-to record for them. And agree on the Crane Wife for sure. I'll certainly try to see them on this upcoming tour. Fun show.

Oh these are good. Real good.

admittedly a bit of a stretch... but in last night's episode of the X-files, there was a large poster / print of the Marina tower behind Mulder during a discussion with Skinner about halfway thru the episode.

I really need a couple big bottles of club soda - I have GOT to clean out that trunk pretty soon. But all I want for Christmas is to spend this hiatus year a little short on long term goals, and not to wake up feeling too old.

Brilliant. Perfect setting, perfect crowd, gorgeous music. Some new songs, some retooled songs (as always). Great stuff.

St. Vincent SPOILER - The new material was quite good - the second half of the show was the entire new album front to back. That really "fit" the whole spectacle she had going with the outfits and the video's and all that. I was less thrilled with the first half of the show which was 40 minutes of her previous and more well-known songs which felt kind of rushed. And the arrangements of the older songs were redone in the vein of the new material (quite thumpy) and didn't do them justice imo. No backing band at all - just her and her guitar(s) and backing tracks. I'd rather have m

I'd have to say that Night 3 was my favorite, even though it was the only night without the Nova. I did manage to make an impromptu sign that said "WILL TRADE NOVA 4 HOODOO" which got a chuckle and a "we'll talk later" from Jeff. And the "HIATUS SCHMIATUS" sign drew some laughs too. But as Paul and B have said, the emotion and the togetherness of everyone there was dialed up to 11. For those of us who lined up early, hung out late, and gave it our all as highly active participants (see night 2 stream!), it was a wonderful run capped off by a great night of music. Old friends, new friends..
