^ Congrats on that! Today's activity is to clean the accumulated winter grime and heavy layer of yellow pine pollen off the screened in porch and furnishings therein. This will be followed by the ceremonial gin & tonic celebrating the return of spring.

today I sealed my driveway, which was sorely in need. there's a huge river birch tree next door which overhangs the driveway a lot. apparently May 2nd is the day that said tree drops all of those little caterpillar-looking thingies at the slightest hint of a breeze. this did not make me happy. I've renamed the tree the "fucking river bitch tree next door". I also re-discovered that manual labor is clearly not my thing. but the driveway does look good.

Well I'll certainly vouch for night 2 over night 1, at least in terms of the vibe. Songs were obviously great both nights. After the first 3 songs, specifically after One Sunday Morning, he recommended getting a coffee "every three or four beers" to endure the long show, saying that One Sunday morning was the shortest song he'd be playing this evening. I was really surprised at how badly he flubbed Hate It Here, as it's not that old and not all that absent from setlists lately. But I suppose he didn't have a chance once he announced he had not even considered how he was gonna play it. He d
