I would expect that exact question to come up in at least one of the upcoming book tour sessions. Can I quote you on that one, sir? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Most Anticipated Albums of 2018
theashtraysays replied to Ottawateeth's topic in Someone Else's Song
Certainly could have been. But the original album was called "Masseduction" (as in mass seduction), the same as one of the tracks. And the re-release was called "Masseducation". Apparently she bought the extra "a". The track on the new release is still called masseduction, fwiw. I still can't look at the album cover without thinking of one of the answer cards from Cards Against Humanity which is "Tasteful sideboob". -

It wasn't anticipated, or even known about (at least by me), but I am really loving this new version of Masseduction by St. Vincent. It's all vocals out in front of a lone piano. Awesome. Had it on repeat since Friday. -
Will it fit in the trunk?

Jeff Tweedy — 30 September 2018, Seattle, WA (Moore Theatre)

As many of you know.... see my avatar... I've been toting around a big sign that says "BULL BLACK NOVA" to shows for the past few years, as I really, really like the song. It's become something of a "thing", and I've had a lot of fun with it both at shows and on FB (check #bullblacknova if you're bored). There don't seem to be many signs at Wilco shows, so Jeff typically notices it, and usually gives me a headshake "no" (like a pitcher to a catcher for a pitch he doesn't want to throw). I've been called out for "chicanery" for stuffing the online ballot box (guilty).. and for having a bad c -

New Jeff Tweedy album November 30th (called WARM)
theashtraysays replied to Oil Can Boyd's topic in Just A Fan
I thought about that notion (Wilco vs solo) as the new songs were dribbling out in his solo shows this year, and my conclusion was "not really". Certainly the solo performances sound like they'd make for a great solo record, but then again all of the Wilco songs sound like that when he plays solo. I was thinking about songs like IATTBYH, Spiders, Bull Black Nova (duh), Art of Almost, IG... the ones that sound totally unique acoustic solo, like a demo. So that got me thinking about how these recent songs would sound all fleshed out with the band, and I was getting quite curious to hear that. -
Not sure if this belongs here, but Pat sat in on 3 songs with the Jayhawks on Thursday night in Nashville. They had several guests during the set. Great show... and Pat still has the best cheekbones in all of rock and roll.

Pumpkins were good, but probly in my bottom half for shows this year (hey, they don't all get into the top half, right??). I thought they were really tight musically, and how can you complain about a 3 hour set? But Billy is definitely an odd duck, and some of his shtick gets old. The stage and lighting were really cool, the sound was excellent, and the crowd was really good. There were a lot of empty seats around, and the entire upper deck was curtained off. And once again I got one of the VIP tickets for regular price a few days ahead of the show so I was in the 3rd row on the floor. No
