  1. When your only tool is a hammer, there's blood in the sink.
  2. Good show (Joe Jackson). His pipes are still in great shape, band was good (Grahan Maby on bass!). The crowd was MUCH OLDER than I was expecting... not sure why that shocked me, but a really old crowd. Highlight was a slowed down version of Steppin' Out (like the Live 1980-86 album). New stuff was good too. Nothing on the schedule now till that festival thing next weekend. Can't wait to see everyone! Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.... sorry for the thread diversion.
  3. Thanks! My first time; he's always been a favorite of mine but never had a chance to see him. So a bit of a bucket list guy for me. Highly underrated imo. And btw he's 63 now. Just sayin'
  4. Definitely a high music-to-banter ratio last night, and a gorgeous evening for a rock show. The crowd was enthusiastic, and we thankfully didn't have any talkers over in our little pre-sale section up front on Pat's side. A couple of pretty tanked up dancer-dudes wandered down to the rail but didn't cause much commotion really. Just a great Wilco-show vibe. Jeff did mention his appreciation of the crowd, saying that Louisville was "at the top of their book" in terms of audiences. And then said that one day they'd have to show us "the book".... Another little deadpan moment was "This is a
  5. No Trump-punches were pulled in the show. The song "Pigs" from Animals was pure fire from Roger. Some of the audience was quite incensed and quite a few left the show. The guys right in front of me were flipping out and flipping birds at the screen when the Black Lives Matter signs showed up. The last sign was the "He's an asshole" in Spanish sign. The shower of confetti at the end was pink tickets with RESIST on them. So yeah, it's gonna be an interesting tour.

  7. Regarding the "lack of enthusiasm" for the YHF proponents: Anyone who thinks that hearing "Poor Places" --> "Reservations" is worth their vote is A-OK in my book. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. chiming in.... bbop certainly hit the highlights, but a couple other thoughts - Someone asked Jeff how he formed his affinity for certain guitars, such as the Waterloo models he had, or the Kel models he plays a lot. He said he really didn't know, but that the Waterloo's "sound like an old guitar", and that they held up better than the Kel's, which he said would have some issues while out on the road (bridge falls off?). He also said that he "almost" brought the one guitar that he writes most of his songs on, and then awkwardly tried to explain to Sue why he has so many guitars but only uses

  13. Today I mailed my federal taxes with a big fat check for the 'Merican peoples!! Daddy's little deductions are out on their own now (well, 2 out of 3), and daddy failed to recalculate withholdings for 2016! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Welcome.... It's a great little venue. Bar in the back, btw The gold circle seats are the first 5(?) rows in the front, with folding chairs that are packed in pretty tight. Behind that, there's a rail, then a couple of tiers with seats going back to the bar. Balcony up top that goes up pretty steep. Those seats in the gold circle are obviously great seats. If you get there at doors (7:00), you should be able to get a nice seat near the center. Any of those 5 rows is a great seat (stage is high enough such that any of those are good). You probably won't get there early enough to req
