  1. I didn't watch it with the sound on. 2 questions: where is the bathroom and why put a couch and a bed in there, just have the couch that becomes a bed. then you'd have room for something else like a table with storage in it. I would die a very fast death if I had to live somewhere that small.
  2. agreed, that song came on just as i got on the dupont circle escalator, one of the steepest escalators in the dc metro system. i thought, i'm not going to walk this and instead will let the escalator take me to the top so i can spend more time enjoying wilco. and then i started to panic with an overwhelming sensation of tumbling down the escalator and had to climb the thing. i'm weird like that.
  3. I hear some Neil Young influence on Sunny Feeling; from the Painter, He Was the King.
  4. All I gotta say is BULL BLACK NOVA: WOW!!!!!!!!
  5. wilco website stream
  6. NoMA Summer Screen 2009 for those NOT going to the Wilco concert that very same night. someone didn't check their calendar when they planned this one. but cool that it will be on the big screen somewhere. Tough call, but I think I'm gonna stick with my original plans of seeing the band live that night.
  7. and by the way, I really am magical. hence the avatar.
  8. and doing it badly at that. get 'em skurj!
  9. that's just brilliantly wrong.
  10. They won't be going back to the moon. Mars, now that could be something. I find it fascinating how NASA's science shifts from election to election based on the whims of the Commander in Chief. Under Clinton it was the ISS, under Bush, spy satellites, debunking Global Warming, and going back to the Moon (just to do it not for any scientific progress); and now it looks like with Obama to put more focus on the environment and earth itself. It is a wonder NASA makes any scientific advancements the way they are constantly changing their focus every 4 years.
  11. apparently people are taking that too seriously too. Joe on dogs or there is this: Russia's side of the story
  12. don't drink it if you live in DC or visit here, well you can probably drink it, but don't let your kids drink it.
  13. excellent. all the variations of Fraktur I have had a different W. very cool that you found an even closer cut!!!
  14. sorry bout that. you can start a new burger thread if you want.
  15. that's the point. -- and since Panther has jumped in here, I'm closing this one down.
  16. didn't you say that already? maybe if i ask my question again it will add to the dejavou (or however the hell you spell that word) of this thread. who does clean water hurt? to quote you "if the law is passed even on the basis of clean water it still means the goverment owns the water which has never happened before in modern history" exactly HOW does that mean the government (with an n) owns the water? i think that's the point i'm getting at, but you'll never see it or answer the question because you don't have an answer. you instead deflect, point out flaws in others, and repeat yourself
  17. I agree. Farm subsidies as they are written are very damaging on so many fronts, and not just with the water.
  18. additional link looks like the focus is to shift more resources into Earth Science (not walking on the moon, that was Bush's goal for NASA). somewhere out in the great internet, there's a website that shows all of the science NASA has developed and how it has translated into everyday stuff. i'll have to track that down or see if my NASA friends have it handy.
  19. yeah, Panther, still waiting for that solid argument on how clean water=the government owning the water. and an answer to the question about who clean water hurts. i also find it kind of sad that you think brain damage in children who regularly drank tap water in the capital of this country, a major city, is hilarious.
