funny, i just received mine on yesterday.

CF Mike Cameron to the Brewers, one- year deal. $5 million, $1.25 sign bonus, althougth he is suspended for the first 25 games due to substance abuse so his salaray is really $4.22. likely move Bill Hall to 3B and Ryan Braun to LF. not a fan of the move, replaced Geoff Jenkins $7 million/yr with a younger guy with some pop but a lot of strikeouts and will mist first month or so of season.

anyone get their first issue yet? they said 6-8 weeks....

i understand it is your opinion and i respect it but how could you hate AM?? yes it is very different from most of all of the records, even Being There, but back in that time, 1994ish, that was a great album, not a superb opener, not a blow em record for a musician who's previous band broke up, not Trace, but man, that was a goodie, plenty of classics!

well id like to play this song for the woman i love who recently shunned me but that probably wouldnt go over too well. i was smoking on my front porch in the cold winter night with headphones on and this song on my ipod and it just hit me. maybe it was the moment of despair that i was in but the song hit me differently than it has before.

i wasnt there but i was at the next abbey pub appearence 5-2-01, five months after glenn's first appearence in Chicago with Jeff, and the buzz was still pretty high, Glenn came out and it sorta got quiet like "who is he, i've heard about him..." and then blam, sticks hit the drums, Jeff's singing and strumming, and everyone knew it fit. cool moment! never saw a drummer do so much with two cymbols and a drum. But i thought the first time Jeff and Glenn played together was with Jim O'Rourke in Chicago for the Noise Pop Festival, i remembering reading about it in Learning How To Die

those are the places that ive checked. i was booted out from Dime A Dozen awhile ago, not sure why, but cant get back in. i check out all those sites as well and have found mostly dead torrents except 10-20-07 but i am on my fourth day and im only 55% done. i agree with gogo, a show gets posted, everyone downloads it, and then it is quiet, non-active...i guess you snooze you lose...

i can't find any lively Wilco torrents right now, was looking forward to downloading some '06 and '07 shows since ive slacked on those years. but i cannot find any live ones from a few different websites, download sites, etc....

i think those lounge ax shows are quite paramount to the tweedy musical history......
-
ok, here are the guidelines. You bought tickets for yourself and a date/girl-boyfriend with all intentions of going but between the time of ticket purchase and the time of the show something wrong/bad happened and now you are stuck with the bill and tickets. Also, you dont attend the show due to soreness of event or proximity to the show date. My most recent: TODAY, bought tickets for the Chicago NYE Spoon show, had a falling out with date, stuck with 2 tickets, not going to show, and the bill. sucks Previous: Bob Dylan-Paul Simon concert- bought tickets with this girl, for some reason i b

do you have any Tweedy solo Lounge Ax shows from 1999? those were some great shows

thats what i am saying, it was unique! may not be the best lineup, may not be the best rocking versions, but it was all unique. When i first saw the band in that lineup i was a little worried, skeptical since wilco has always had 5-6 guys for a touring band. but the 4 made it happen.
-
well it was interesting in the context of wilco music, yes quiet but still acceptable, rocking, able to move a crowd
-
ive had a few days off so (single and lots of free time) i went through all my live wilco cds and weeded out the poor sounding quality shows and kept the ones that i think perserve a Live Wilco career perspective. naturally, im on a wilco high right now. still think the best years are '97-00 but you can't deny the musicianship of the current lineup. to me the most interesting live years are post-Bennett pre-Cline when wilco was a powerhouse foursome: Tweedy, Stirratt, Kotche, Bach....
