  1. I haven't heard his work on Murray Street, though I'd like to. As for his solo material I am a fan of Eureka/Insignificance and well as the ep Halfway to a Threeway. The record I love, Bad Timing.
  2. http://bp1.blogger.com/_7ygapSLouZ0/SFAP6M...tmanonearth.jpg great record.... It
  3. Shee, you're right. Both are fine tracks. They're all bleedin' together. Funny, they couldn't be more different.
  4. This has the classic 'I Dreamed of Richard Pryor' on it, yes ?
  5. 'Every Night' was my introduction to Chris ten or so years ago. I liked it then, but haven't listened to it in quite some time. That said, I agree, his later records were much better. Kiss It Goodbye especially.
  6. I agree with the generic 'indie' comment. The last track is the only one that remotely sounds like the ep or s/t release.
  7. Saw'em again last Friday night In Portland at the Doug Fir. (Great venue by the way). Once again, they did not disappoint. NOT TO BE MISSED. I posted this in another thread if anyone's interested. Have you heard this ? http://philspector.files.wordpress.com/200...leeet-foxes.jpg 2006 self-titled 6 track ep. 1. She Got Dressed 2. In The Hot, Hot Rays 3. Anyone Who
  8. Another great "unknown" British psyche band from the mid to late 60's. I have maybe 25 songs of theirs all culled from different sources. I remember reading on the GbV board that these guys were a HUGE influence on Robert Pollard.
  9. ...love Chris Mills. If memory serves Glenn K. played on Every Night Fight For your Life.
  10. For fans of the Fleet Foxes >>> Have you heard this ? http://philspector.files.wordpress.com/200...leeet-foxes.jpg 2006 self-titled 6 track ep. 1. She Got Dressed 2. In The Hot, Hot Rays 3. Anyone Who

  12. If you look at my year to year list on page 1 , check out 2007. (Her vs The Sad Cold....)I have everything Dean's ever recorded....and yes, Euridice Proudhon is pretty effin great. I have a Best Of' (30 songs) in 35 minutes I put together early last year I can put up if anyone's interested. EDIT- Dean Wells writes all the songs, records on a 4-track and plays all the instruments. He's released (if you can call it that) 8-9 EP's, 7-8 full lengths. This collection of 30 songs is culled from Euridice Proudhon, Her Versus the Sad Cold Eventually & The Sleeved and Grandaughters of the B
  13. Nice picks....and I thought "I" was a GbV fan. Way to sneak in the very underrated Keene Bros as well.

  17. Here are the aforementioned tracks. Enjoy ! http://www.mediafire.com/?myzpdtlgk5q
  18. One of the best live shows (last month in SF) I've seen in some time. Not long on histrionics, just seamless playing and singing. I'll be @ The Doug Fir in Portland at the end of this month.
  19. Pink Moon Which Will Parasite I can post'em here later tonight -
  20. I've been a fan since the release of At Dawn. This record is a downright embarrassment.
  21. CDTC = beautiful record that sounds like it could've been recorded many years ago. (see 4-track related artists) OEND = very good and a strong follow-up but doesn't quite reach the depth of the debut. SDOG = material wasn't as strong as the first two records.
  22. U2 covering All Along The Watchtower
  23. Thanks for the response. I've been waiting patiently since the release of 'Month of Sundays' which is a outstanding record IMO. (especially if you're a fan of the major7th) Have you heard the demos or the new material at their shows ? - PaL
