  1. props to the marlins. yes, my excitement is fantasy inspired, but to get a win for nolesco with 2 outs in the 7th coming off of a rain delay is certainly appreciated. go marlins go. . . hey miami what do you say, the fish are going to win today. . .
  2. going to memphis with my family to visit my sister's family. hopefully, i will get to see al green at tunica on saturday night. as long as i am not working, i will be happy.
  3. aramis ramirez seems to be throwing punches right with thome. how does it take security that long to get there?
  4. my only real complaint is having to hear reference to red sox nation or the nation everytime espn shows a highlight. ramirez and edmonds back to back. GO CUBS NATION!
  5. on the flip side, it is much easier to bond when you are the best team in baseball during the past 5 years.
  6. kind of. i am trying to figure out what song kerry wood and carlos marmol would perform? easy lover? edit: i do not mind the red sox but believe this is what such people would latch onto.
  7. big comeback. big win. still cannot embrace "go cubs go" but what do you do?
  8. i agree with all of this. pretty subdued.
  9. i just learned while watching the marlins game that luis gonzalez hit over 50 home runs one year. holy steroids!
  10. has it even been announced? i did not see anything on the website.
  11. very nice. thanks for the link.
  12. wow. the whole show was incredible. it rained its ass off at times, but the band roared on. get down on it was pretty damn enjoyable. and tyrone. wtf? new album sounded great live (yes, even highly suspicious)
  13. i have to agree as much as i hate to do that.
  14. i like this album. a lot. i also agree that their live show is what makes them special. the 12am-3am show on friday should be a lot of fun.

  16. there is always next year. SAN FRANCISCO -- San Diego Padres pitcher Mark Prior will undergo season-ending surgery on his injured right shoulder, the latest medical setback to a once-promising career. Padres manager Bud Black announced the decision to operate before Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants. Prior, one of the top young pitchers in the game for the Chicago Cubs just a few years ago, has not pitched in the majors since Aug. 10, 2006. He had been trying to make a comeback with his hometown Padres this season, but his rehab process was shut down at extended spring tra
  17. good luck, S.S. I very much enjoy your contributions to this place and wish you well.
  18. heard today that the marlins starting pitching has an era over 5, and they lead the N.L. in errors. must be getting timely hits and a great bullpen?
  19. great news. i loved the stage names. i did, however, just pick up bsb and have been listening to the last week. i am quickly becoming obsessed with this band. saw them open for the new pornographers and thought they were excellent live.
  20. joe mauer was last catcher with an inside the park home run. pie had several brilliant plays this year as well and would have been standing on the hill waiting for the ball. i still am obviously having problems with edmonds.
  21. if u2 is your favorite band, you are stupid?
