Forgive me if I'm being dense....but...I get the intent of the lyric, but not sure of the meaning. What "stones" is he referring to? Is it something biblical? The stones at the bottom of the river? Either way, love the song. Jack

Thought it was time for a bump. So happy to have this one for the drive in today. There is something about his voice that puts me in a good mood. Simple as that. Well, the not surprising gushing review from Rolling Stone. rolling stone review I mean, I don't hate the album as much as I first thought, but I can't believe they can give it 5 stars with a straight face! Jack

Yeah, I'd agree. It's got some highs (Outlaw Pete, The Last Carnival), but the lows are lower than most of his releases..... At least that's what I think. Jack

Isn't it that artists aren't eligible for induction until 25 years after their first release? The E St. Band wasn't credited on a Bruce Springsteen album until the Live 1975-1985 album. Released in 1986. They should be eligible in 2011. Jack

Yeah....I have to say I may have jumped to conclusions. Not gonna be my top album of 2009, but a fun drive home. This should translate live much better than Magic. It's a grower, for sure. Jack

OK, now it's out there..... Hmmmm. A couple standout tracks, but overall, very light fare from Mr. Springsteen. Interested to see if Rolling Stone has the balls to give this one 5 stars. Jack

Another new song, "Surprise, Surprise" is out there. Man, I'm really worried about this release.... So far, 1 great one ("The Wrestler"), a couple OK ("Life Itself" and "My Lucky Day") and two completely awful songs ("Working on a Dream" and "Surprise, Surprise.") I think this will be the first Springsteen release that only gets played the first day. Oh well.....we'll see. Jack
