  1. gotta say, pretty disappointed with the San Francisco Roadcase show. The sound quality is lacking, and the crowd is way too noisy and obnoxious.
  2. vinyl included a copy of the CD when the industry felt like they still "needed too"...now they realize that the Vinyl and Digital Code is fine for most people. If they want a CD they can always buy the CD. I haven't purchased a CD (for myself) in over a decade.
  3. Can someone ask him when the next album (that is "half way done") will release? LOL.
  4. I saw Wilco at Langerado festival a while back, and while it wasn't that bad, it's definitely not the same as seeing the band with an audience that actually wants to listen to them.
  5. can you post pics of the linear notes? Is there any other art in the booklet?
  6. It may be halfway done now, but by the time he's done touring, he will probably want to scrap the whole thing and start over. That being said, it does seem like he's written a lot of songs recently.
  7. Jeff did a ton of interview for Sukirae, he's probably burnt out.
  8. good news about the vinyl. Can wait to see how the rest of it looks.
  9. Umm...how would a Facebook Group be open to Non-Facebook users? It doesn't cost anything to sign up. The world won't end if you have a social media account. You are currently posting on an internet message board, that requires sign up as well.
  10. I don't agree with that list at all really. Via Chicago? hello? Also I know it's over played, but I still think Jesus, Etc is one of the best songs Jeff has ever written.
  11. A limited edition version of Ghost is Born would have been awesome...although I just bought that on vinyl a few months ago at the Amazon Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale.
  12. sorry, but I just refuse to scroll through 10 pages of ads. If someone wants to post their list, then I'd be happy to comment. I saw that You Satellite was Number 10...that's a pretty ballsy statement considering the album in only a month old.
  13. I think the similarity actually hurts King of You. It sounds like more of an extension then it's own song.
  14. Ok...have had SW for long enough where I feel I can make up some sort of "order", but personally I find picking one over the other, almost impossible. Yankee, Ghost, Being There, Whole Love, Mermaid, Sky Blue, Star Wars, Summer, AM,..... Wilco (TA) Summerteeth has really dropped down on my list, due to the fact that I think the songs have aged terribly on that record. It's filled with many incredible songs, but the majority of them sound so much better live, that the album feels obsolete, and almost unlistenable to me. AM has aged better in my opinion...
  15. Vinyl is much more expensive to produce then CDs. I don't mind paying more . I do think $20 should be the line though.
  16. i bought Being There at a recent Wilco concert. It was $20. Whatever store that is, they are ripping you off.
  17. I really like the 3 Recent Port Chester shows. They did 3 days of no repeats. Sort of a Mini Winterlude. the sound quality and performances on this are great.
  18. So in the span of a week, I've gotten A Brand New Album - for free A Live Webcast of the band in 1080p - for free (thanks to this board) A New Roadcase of the St Augustine show (which I attended on my wedding anniversary). - for free. Gotta say, I'm really feeling the love. Feels good man.
  19. The "waiting list" to get a vinyl record made is a long one. There are not many vinyl plants in the U.S. And the sudden surge in vinyl purchases in the last 5-6 years has made it really difficult. companies can spend extra to get their record "pushed up" , but for a small label like this. It may not make financial sense. Throw in the marketing ploy of releasing the record on "Black Friday" and you have a pretty good release strategy. Wilco knows that the fans that want vinyl will be willing to wait for it. Especially when the album is available to download for free. Curious what the rest of
  20. I would totally join this club, but my vinyl cabinet is getting full, and I have to be selective on what I purchase.
  21. Cool! I was at that St Aug show!
