  1. I heard them Saturday. I thought they were awful. They definitely put a damper on what was poised to be an epic show. Still was awesome, but the songs were not good at all. LWW and CDII have far stronger tracks than those.
  2. They were absolutely amazing. But let's not get carried away here laurah123.
  3. The band was tight. Awesome show. ITMWLY to close was outstanding. They're not used to extended jams with little or no chord changes.
  4. Love The Search. It's not as good as Trace or Straightaways, but I still love it. Same, but different. And that's a good thing.
  5. I could agree or disagree with this had they not airbrushed the nipples out of the picture.
  6. The guy has always incorporated some elements of "country" into his albums. You would think a Neil Young album that features Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson would be fantastic. Wow. Awful stuff.
  7. I guess you are only looking for the Crazy Horse stuff. I wouldn't read into the # of unreleased songs on the boxset that much. I'm sure there's a good amount of unreleased gems floating around. My guess is the 2nd time frame is going to be loaded with goodies. Perhaps I say this because it's wishful thinking on part and because it's my favorite time period for Neil.
  8. My dirty dozen 1. Just Us Kids James McMurtry 2. Brighter Than Creations Dark Drive-By Truckers 3. Real Animal Alejandro Escovedo 4. Furr Blitzen Trapper 5. Sex & Gasoline Rodney Crowell 6. Attack & Release The Black Keys 7. Acid Tongue Jenny Lewis 8. Trouble in Mind Hayes Carll 9. Stay Positive The Hold Steady 10. The Stand-Ins Okkervil River 11. Mudcrutch Mudcrutch 12. Real Emotional Trash Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks
  9. If you listen to the link to the samples above (if it's still live), there's an absolute departure from the "alt.country" sound. Lots of buttery soul in the new album from what I've heard.
