how could they be? Sky Blue Sky is a very nostalgic record. if anything, i'd say their whole persona as a band right now is very nostalgic.

i don't know if the person wouldn't like Bon Iver just because they don't like Skinny Love that much...i think Blindsided through Stacks is the most solid part of the album. Just get the album...it's a grower...take it places with you and it'll grow. It's a summery album (in my experience) as much as a winter album.

is blood bank the only new song they're doing? i've seen a few videos with other stuff i've never heard from him before.

yeah, i follow them pretty closely...and yes, the reworks are pretty cool. the daytrotter sessions show how far they've come as a band. that creature fear take is really great.

the vids i've seen of live shows have been amazing. the Blindsided from the p4k live videos on the p4k site is amazing.

what exactly is this record?

i've heard two of his songs that i assume are his that aren't on For Emma... they sound very good. there's a video of one that he plays after the song For Emma on youtube that is pretty cool sounding....can't really understand the lyrics just yet, but yeah...i like it. and Lump Sum unlistenable? whaaaa.......? i wish he'd come to texas...
