Taste is completely objective. My Dad likes Wilco but he also likes some God awful Pop-Country artists.... And I've liked a few bands over the years I'm not particularly proud of.

Agreed 100%. I've been wearing this album out the last few days. It's almost like Buddy Holly on Acid. Many of the songs could almost be pop rock songs, but the production and eerie tone/phrasing of the vocals give me a feeling that something isn't quite right... Definitely in my top 5 of 2010.

Just got this in Yesterday and Mrs. Clause let me try it out early. Haven't had a chance to play around with it too much, but it's definitely awesome. An incredible amount of versatility. Each channel has three switchable distortion modes with Channel A having Vintage Rat, Turbo Rat, and Dirty Rat. Channel B; Vintage Rat, Turbo Rat, Clean Rat. Turning on both channels at the same time obviously produces insane amounts of gain, but it's not too dirty.. In other words I was expecting a bunch of noise and feedback, and you don't get any of that.. Just a shitload of gain! I'll have to play

I still haven't bought my parents anything.. Well I think my wife got my mom something, but my Dad... no freakin clue what I'm getting him. They are so hard to buy for, and I'm a terrible gift giver. Last year I got them one of those digital picture frames loaded with pictures of the family (thinking it was the best idea in the world) and I don't think I've seen it turned on once... I'll probably just get him a CD or something.. He's a big blues fan. Especially when Clapton plays the blues.

I'm getting one of these from Santa. Did a lot of research beforehand and it sounds like it's the RAT lovers wet dream. Especially because of the two channels. I'll finally be able to have a nice rhythm sound on channel A, then bust over to channel B for dirtier, higher volume leads.
