Really disturbing Police, citizen confrontation
lamradio replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
A lot of it just depends on the officer, there are good Cops and bad Cops. Bad Cops: The weaker minded type. They let the job get to their head, and then they go on a power trip.. It's mostly because they see a lot of really bad shit all the time, so they become bitter and prejudice. Good Cops: Like my friend (for now at least). When I asked him, why do you want to be a Cop, he said "because I just want to help people, that's all".... Hopefully he can keep that attitude, not let the job make him bitter, and he'll always be a good Cop. -

I'll have to share this story with my friend who recently became a Cop. I'll have to tell him "don't EVER be this asshole!" -
You wanna play the Fixed game huh? Ok..

My thoughts exactly, couldn't have said it better. Are you me in a alternate universe or something? YHF was definitely one that revealed it's magic after being backround noise. I had it playing on the home stereo while eating dinner with the family one evening... And I just remember my wife and I both looking at each other at the same time and saying "God, this is an amazing record.." I think it was during Kamera.

I'm the same way. I obtained the leaked version of SBS, but still bought the album (twice actually.. the original, and the DVD edition) I have said it before, I'm planning to not listen to any leaks or streams of this album.. There's nothing like hearing the album for the first time when you pop it in your car CD player after leaving the record store.

Touched by an Uncle

It's kind of like The Pump but for Women

And it will take a lot of restraint not to listen to the leak and the stream from the site... I'm still going to do my best to save my first listen for my car CD player, moments after I purchase the album from my local record store..

Well thats good news. Thanks. Excellent article by the way.

I would agree with this statement.

I'd buy a shirt that says "my friend say boo hiss to Nels Cline" on the front and "were tapers present?" on the back..

Its funny because Pat is a small guy in person.. He's freakin mammoth in that picture.

I remember digging that tune. I didn't like it as much as One Wing, but I dug it.. Speaking of which, sorry if I have missed it somewhere, but has it been mentioned anywhere that One Wing will be on the record?? Bad ass tune...

He really is. Not to take the attention off of Jeff, but in a way I know the feeling.. My band played a benefit for the Special Olympics a few years ago. Those kids thought that we were the biggest Rock Stars in the world! We signed autographs and everything.. It really made their day.... It was a very rewarding experience.

That'll be two more than I have attended.. I'm jealous. One day though..

Barrington Living Room Show - March 21, 2009

Another very rare one. -
Agreed, he is a tool. But I respect his guitar playing. The dude can play.. Plus he gets to bang Nicole Kidman.
-
I can't think of any artist that has redone an album, but I would love to redo Weezer's Blue Album. I practically grew up on the album and know it by heart. If I had the time, I would redo the whole thing playing every instrument, vocal part, the whole deal.
-
I don't know, but that Brad Paisley can play the hell out of the guitar. And Keith Urban is actually a pretty damn good guitar player as well.
-
I wasn't expecting the White Stripes to be awesome. I just didn't think they could produce a big sound without a bass. Boy was I wrong. I've never heard a louder, heavier, dirtier, bassier, guitar sound than I did at that show. It was pretty damn awesome. Plus the drummer was fun to watch.

Anything by Kings Of Leon. Yeah, I know a lot of folks dig them around here but the dudes voice just annoys the crap out of me... He sounds like some drunk dude just wandered on stage and started singing with the band..

Agreed. Neil Young, Jeff Tweedy, amazing people.
