  1. The volume and sustain is cool! And the only effects he really uses is a little delay and chorus.. That's pretty standard for most lead players. He just makes it sound like there are more effects - he's that good.
  2. I think I just threw up a little bit in my mouth after reading this... The guy has so much feeling, soul, emotion in his playing that no one else can match.. He may like to bend notes, but no one can bend notes and make them sound like David Gilmore... He's one of the few players in the world that you can identify by only hearing a few notes.
  3. I can... Dah dah dah dah dah dah dah... dah dah dah dah dah dah....... dah.................... with a twist of lemon..
  4. Buckethead is pretty damn amazing. I had never really listened to him much until I saw this on demand special.. He was just playing in his back yard... completely melted my face off. I will second David Gilmore And, don't forget Wes Montgomery
  5. Same here... Also heard Sunny Feeling, but I don't remember much about it.. It just sounded.. Sunny? I'm not even going to listen to the leak.. IF it leaks (which it more than likely will).
  6. I was kind of being sarcastic, but hey, thanks anyway. I've been meaning to check out The Byrds.. I've heard good things.
  7. Never heard that one.. Link?
  8. That's the sound I love.. Wish they had more songs like that.
  9. Holy fack... Yeah that's definitely cool.. I would love to do it, but it's definitely one of those things that would cause one's asshole to pucker.
  10. I think I got stoned just reading that..
  11. Mine too.. Especially live.. Definitely a face melter.
  12. The only clunkers on the album are "(Was I) In Your Dreams" and "Why Would You Wanna Live". Those are two songs that they probably could have left off IMO, but it's not like I skip over them or anything. I think Jeff was just pretty pilled up when he wrote/recorded them. It's impossible to say which Wilco album is my favorite, but I'd say I've listened to Being There the most out of all of them.
  13. Same here, one of the greatest shows I've seen period.. But I can understand how it might not have been your bag... When I saw him with the singers last year, my wife couldn't really handle the avante-garde chaos, effects, loudness, noise, so she actually left for the better part of the show. And many people commented "this is a little too much for me".. But I LOVED it, and was in complete aw the entire show.
  14. Yes, true. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_DeCarlo You can even hear clips of him singing on his official site, which is pretty amazing. He's no Brad, but he's pretty damn close.
  15. I'm surprised this doesn't mention Tommy DeCarlo. Is he still the lead singer? I still find the story very interesting how Tommy was just a Boston fan, posted himself singing Karaoke on the net, and next thing you know, he's getting an offer from the band to be the new lead singer.
  16. "Leave Me Like You Found Me" I just like the trippy almost circus music sounding bridge in that song.. Where else do you hear stuff like that? Not their best, but It's a good song IMO..
  17. Please God.. Not bacon.. For the love of God, not my bacon..
  18. For the record, I apologize for introducing the word SUCKS in this thread.
  19. Is that you in your avatar? Maybe we can convert this into a beard thread somehow. I have a beard now...
