yeah.. and I have no idea why I love it, even though it reminds me of Neil Diamond. That one song, one of his more popular ones (don't know the name because I'm obviously no fan of ND).. I hope I don't ruin this song even more for other people now..

The song that I keep getting stuck in my head is "You Never Know'.. I know that's the least favorite song on the album for most people, but it's just so happy and catchy.. Plus I think it would be fun to see live. It almost sounds like Neil Diamond or something.. but for some reason that's not a bad thing at all.

Cool man, glad you like. Do you know anyone at Cat's Cradle? Looks like a cool place to gig. We've been wanting to play more in NC, but it's difficult when don't have any "connections" there yet. Let me know, we'd love to play there. And oh yeah.. I suck bad for caving.. But boy was it worth it.
-
Well, you've got a point there.

I've brought many new parents to tears covering it.

Yeah, my wife totally digs Leary.. But that's ok, there's some eye candy for me to on the show too. Although Sheila (hot) she can be annoying sometimes, and Janet (hot) but just too evil.. Her evilness ruins her attractiveness..

Agreed and one of my favorite Wilco songs, probably in my top 5. I've never understood how a lot of folks don't like it. It's brilliantly written, lyrically and musically, and the production on the recording is great.

I caved.. Anywhoo.. By all means, check us out on myspace. I'm always eager to hear what folks think of our music. It looks like we get a lot of hits, but very few comments. We always receive positive feedback out our shows, but I'm eager to hear what folks think of our recorded tunes.

Thanks onan. I wouldn't know the difference because I've never played out of the original Holy Grail, but I'm very happy with the Nano Holy Grail so far. The only thing that's taking a while to get used to is it's hard to find a happy medium. It's either a little bit of reverb, or A LOT of reverb. But I'm sure I'll get the hang of it after while.

Happy birthday. One of my favorite VCers.

Yep, he gets to have his cake and eat it to. I could see he was having a blast when I saw him with the Singers in Asheville, even though there was only about 30 people there. He made a comment how this was definitely the most intimate show he'd played in a while, but was very thankful for the folks that did show up. Hope he comes back this year.

I'm a fan. I don't care how pretentious they are, or how they charge $100+ for concerts, they right good music. I'll check this out.

Very old, but still quite popular as you can see..
-
I'll second that. The Nels vs. Jay argument will be around until the end of time.. I personally think Nels is a modern guitar genius, and Tweedy was a genius for choosing him.
-
I'll drink to that. BIG thanks to the Wilcos

I don't think he's ever stopped writing on that level. The songs are just different now. Still great, but different, that's all.

Happy Birthday friend. if it maces u feel ay beter, I quitt the bored too.. - Panther

No, it's Eugene Martone! Edit: Ah, thanks Analogman.

I don't want to turn this into a Nels vs. Jay thread, but don't get me wrong, Jay was/is a badass guitarist.. But Nels has that jazz/fusion/experimental/free/chaotic style that Jay didn't have, and that is just more appealing to me. Plus he does a fine job of pulling off the stuff that Jay used to do. At first I didn't think so, but when he melted my face off during the "Forget the Flowers" solo in Asheville, I changed my mind.

Or, you could be hearing the new songs in Cinci for the very first time, live... I'm not making this any easier for you am I?

Now I've heard it all.. Wankery you say? Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
