  1. That............. is.................... AWESOME
  2. One I think, in 2004. Still don't know why they aren't coming to at least Atlanta... Ain't got no luv for the South I guess... C'mon, the weather will be nice down here starting late September!
  3. Yeah, she's actually a decent actor... But as a musician?? Completely unacceptable...
  4. Definitely a difference. If turn it up that loud, the clean channel breaks up nicely for that "dirty clean" sound.. As for the gain channel, it definitely gets dirtier/gainier at high volume. Its especially great for the Blues Deville since the gain channel is very weak.
  5. Yeah, its a great little box.. I can crank my Deville up to 8 or 9, get sweet tube sound, and I can control the actual output volume with the box. The guy that makes them actually sells them new here (still cheap as hell under $20): http://cgi.ebay.com/Omnisonic-Tube-Amp-VOLUME-BOX-for-PEAVEY-Classic-30-50_W0QQitemZ140336608052QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item20acb6b334&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 He's a great guy and will repair/replace if it breaks.. I always try to get him business when I can.
  6. I have one of these for my Blues Deville: http://cgi.ebay.com/Omnisonic-Fender-Hot-Rod-Tube-Amp-Volume-Control-BoxNR_W0QQitemZ200371923729QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2ea718eb11&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 Very cheap as you can see, and it works pretty good.. It's just another thing for me to have to plug up, so I hardly ever use it. But its good for that incredibly sensitive volume knob on the Deville's.
  7. Just glad I got to see him live at a small club in NY with my father.. One of my fondest memories. RIP Les...
  8. Lots of b-days today. Hope its a good one!
  9. Well I see the screen that would normally show my color coded postings, but I don't have any posts.. Kind of strange because I posted one a couple weeks ago, but its not there.
  10. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to see John Doe (because of the famous Charleston cancellation), but I'm glad I got to see Bon Iver instead. I had never heard of Bon Iver until then, and now I think I'm hooked for life..
  11. Exactly my friend.. I live for those moments as well. People that say they aren't really into music.. The "I just listen to whatever is on the radio" kind of people... They must live pretty dull lives..
  12. Pretty freakin awesome. Keep watching till the end.
  13. Saw the trailer when I took the kids to see the new Ice Age. It looks great! This movie will be huge because my wife and I (late 20's) can't wait to see it, and my kids (4 and 5) can't wait to see it..
  14. It's Lam-rod... I got it from the lyrics to "Hot Rod Hotel" found on mermaid ave. vol II. Interesting observation though!
  15. That's awesome Author13. Sounds like the album has a pretty long listening lifespand so far. Great to hear my friend, thanks. Also if anyone is interested, Tomotrax (Australian based music review myspace site) did a review of our album, and interviewed us. 16. Looks like they found cocaine in his system. No wonder he was so excited all the time.. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/08/07/AR2009080703191.html
  17. It's Friday, it's your birthday, time to party.
  18. She's looking for more of current, pop rock bands that you would hear on popular radio. But thanks anyway. Good one! She is more R&B/Soul (even though she acts like a Rock Star).. But I don't think my sis has any R&B examples, so I'll definitely mention her. Thanks guys.
  19. So my sister is doing a project for work (she's a Drug/Alcohol Psychologist), and she needs a list of current popular Rock/Alternative songs that reference alcohol. Songs that you would hear on the radio. I couldn't think of any, mostly because I don't listen to the radio anymore. Can you think of a few? Thanks!
  20. Yeah, he seems like a pretty down to earth dude, and funny indeed. He made a good point; Star Wars is mostly for kids now. And I agree, it's not for the hard-core "Ice Cream Maker Guy" kind of fans anymore.
  21. So whats your favorite record? Mine by far (well right now at least) is "Easy Beat." Is it just me, or is Toby Leaman a freakin sic bass player? His tone/style is right out of the 70's... I especially love his bass line on "Today". I also don't know how he can sing lead and play those bass lines at the same time. Can't wait to see him do it live.
