It's ok to not like The Beatles (even though I think you need your head examined), but to say they are overrated is pretty ridiculous. If you ask most people the first band they followed as kids, it's always The Beatles.

I didn't fall in love with SBS until I heard the songs live. I saw Wilco a month after SBS was released so they played a lot of songs from it. I'm hoping this will happen with WTA because honestly, I haven't listened to it in months (and only listened to it for a bout a week when it came out...) But first they need to come down South again.

Must have been very slim pickings for nominees this year.

Why does Radio Head always make it into threads about Wilco?

If you've read Jeffs poetry book, there are several poems in there that contain lyrics to future Wilco songs. Company In My Back is one of them.

Going to finish season 3 tonight, so I can start on 4. The first half of this season 3 was kind of weak IMO, but man the last few episodes have been intense!

Yeah, expect to get jumped if you decide to do that. That's way worse than the post-mortum Kurt Cobain costume I saw at a party a few years ago.

Good thread. Last year, the bass player in my band was George Micheals. Complete with sunglasses, 5'oclock shadow, and "Choose Life" t-shirt. Playing at Halloween parties over the years with my band, there are always a lot of Tom Cruises.. Especially the Risky Business Tom Cruise.

Am I alone when I think that KISS pretty much sucks ass? Yeah, they do the whole dress-up make-up thing, but if it wasn't for that, do you think they ever would have made it as big as they did?

Your not alone. I don't have a favorite Wilco record. It usually switches between Being There, YHF, and AGIB... Really the one I'm currently listening to is my favorite.. Except for WTA that is.. Not a bad record, but definitely their weakest IMO.
