  1. As blasphemous as I think that is, it doesn't mean that Toots and the Maytals isn't freakin awesome. Glad I got to see them in Boston a few years ago. Great show.
  2. Not to go off topic, but the exact same thing can be said for Weezer.. A band that I loved when I was a teenager, and now they are a novelty act for me.
  3. Being There AGIB YHF Summerteeth Sky Blue Sky AM WTA I really don't like WTA.. It's sad to say it, but the only good song on that album is "One Wing".. The rest are... meh...
  4. I have to admit, I was pretty much addicted to "Get a Grip" when it came out. I was 13 years old.. One of the first Rock albums I bought. I used to blast "Eat The Rich" on my Dads stereo...
  5. Flaming Lips - Embryonic. Man what a great album.. I'm rediscovering the lips with this album. It's a far cry from Yoshimi or their more "mainstream" albums, but there's just something about it.. Can't stop listening to it.
  6. Yeah but Brad Paisley can play the HELL out of the guitar. I think if Wilco released a country album, it was be excellent. To me they already have several country songs. "Someone Else's Song", "Forget The Flowers" just to name a couple.. Think about an album full of songs like that? Awesome.. But first Jeff needs to release a solo album..
  7. This... album... is AMAZING.. That's all I gotta say for now.
  8. The only Muppet I would want on my island is Ms. Piggy. mmmm... bacon...
  9. Yeah but Stiller is the king of awkward humor. So many awkward moments in his movies that make you cringe to watch.. "It's so wrong that it's funny" kind of moments. The Cable Guy is one of my all time favorite movies... Dark, awkward humor at it's best.
  10. YES! I forgot about that movie.. Holy crap, seriously one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Yeah, Seth Rogan is not funny at all.. He's about as funny as Dane Cook (God that guy sucks)
  11. Ok, so I went to my ignore list for the first time and found that I was ignoring three people.. I've never intentionally put someone on ignore since I've been at VC... Whats up with that?? Were they ignoring me maybe??
  12. I would hope my kids will do the same when they are old enough to know what Veterans Day is.. Good kid indeed. Yesterday I thanked my Grandfather who served in the Korean war, as well as a good friend of mine who is a Marine that served in Iraq in 03.
  13. Aww.. I've enjoyed his work. Old School was great, and Anchorman is not one of my favorites, but it still has it's moments. Talladega Nights on the other hand... wow... bad movie.
  14. I thought about adding Chicago but I've never actually seen the movie (and don't plan to), so it's unfair for me to give my opinion.
  15. Agreed. Most years they get it right, others they don't. They got it right with: No Country for Old Men The Departed Schindler's List Unforgiven American Beauty They got it wrong with: Crash Lord of the rings: Return of the King (WAY wrong) Shakespear in Love English Patient
  16. The bassist in my band is my wife. Which can be a good and bad thing.
  17. I too just saw this film for the first time last night.. Another film that leaves me completely dumbfounded as to why it got best picture... Yeah, it was a "good" movie, but best picture??? The film did a good job of portraying what the slums are really like over in India.. They definitely didn't candy coat that, but other than that the movie was just... meh...
  18. Good episode last night. Loved the twist at the end with Dexter killing an innocent man... That was a first. Yeah, I really hope Dexter gets a reason to kill Quinn. Better yet, I hope he gets a reason to kill Rita.. But that's just wishful thinking.
  19. HUGE win for the Clemson Tigers last night. Two wins away from their first ACC title game in 28 years, and the teams they have to play are NC State (4-5) and Virginia (3-6).
  20. I'd let her kick my ass... But man, brutal stuff there.. Crazy bitch indeed.
  21. Had the privilege of seeing it performed live in Asheville earlier this year.. I was close to tears through the whole thing. What an amazing song..
  22. Eh.. Sounds a little like soft-core porn music or something. Especially when Ward starts singing.. Not really digging it. "we want MMJ, we want MMJ"
  23. So it's pretty much been decided that Trinity killed Lundy and shot Deb? I'm not convinced yet.. In the preview for the next episode, to me it looked that they were going to build on Quinn being a dirty cop (Dexter seeing him at that night club). Lundy DID look surprised when he saw the killer.. Quinn maybe?? Eh? Eh? Or am I way off, and just hoping for a twist? But yeah, the last episode was also filled with way too much Rita drama "Dexter, just talk to me.. blah blah blah"... C'mon, less whining, more killing!!
  24. Has anyone ever asked him this in an interview or anything? He's done just about everything else one can do with a music career. He pretty much has to do one..
